Karcher VC 3 Dry Vacuum Cleaner (Yellow and Black)

I researched on a lot of vacuum cleaners and read through a lot of reviews (as we all do) prior to buying this one. When I bought this vacuum cleaner, it had no reviews on Amazon India or any of the other online Indian portals. So why did I buy this one? read on:(1) I thought through the reasons why I needed a vacuum cleaner and they were/are: (a) vacuuming sofas, beds, curtains, window rails, wooden cabinets, kitchen cabinets and corners, TV cabinets and the odd time vacuuming the floor to amuse my 1 year old son :). Accordingly, I could easily cancel out wet and dry vacuum cleaners as they were of no use to me- my house help comes every day to sweep and mop the floor (as would be the case for most of my fellow Indians).2. Product dimensions and build quality- looked small which is great for people living in apartments, and the build quality looked good.3. Karcher- figured through online research that they are a good brand.about 5 months of ownership experience- (1) very powerful, (2) being bagless is a boon, (3) very good build quality, (4) happy customer.

Th product is good. Below are the pros and consPros*****1) Suction is good especially to clean things sofa cushions made of cloth. Will find it very useful in dusty cities like Bangalore.2) No external bag, hence dont need to run searching for bag3) Excellent built qualityCons******1) Make sure you connect this to a 16A socket. If you connect to 5A normal socket and run for more than 5 to 10 minutes , the MCB will trip.2) Less number of attachments. No designed accessory supplied along with the unit for cleaning sofa or curtains.3) Emptying the dust and cleaning the dust collector is a little time consuming process.4) As dust gets accumulated the suction power gets a bit low .If you use vacuum cleaner every day , you will be better off with bagged models.5) No place or hold slots around the unit to hold the attachments. You will have to store it separate.I purchased the unit in a lighting deal for Rs.8525.Overall satisfied with the product for it's build quality and performance.

Products like these are supposed to be durable , if they sop working after only a month of very minimal use then its a complete waste.I bought Karcher thinking it would be better that other cheaper ones showing up on market and I will not have to worry about the issues , but it seems I was wrong.The product stopped working just within the month - I would have used it maybe 3-4 times now. Currently it just grunts as soon as you switch it on, and makes me feel its going to break down or start causing much more serious issues so closed it off and put it aside. Now lets see how their customer care would respond. Not recommended if you want a hassle free vaccum which is what I wanted.

broke down after 6 months

Seller is shipping VC3 Plus model where as listed is VC3 model. There are several differences between them. VC3 Plus come with additional attachment and its power is 1100watts as compared to VC3 which is 1300watts. Product build quality is very good. I will give more feedback after using it for a month

Nothing beats Karcher when it comes to vaccum cleaners, they are a German brand that make the best vaccum cleaners in the world, been using this baby for over 3 years now, never had an issue, needs no dustbags ,perfect for home use.

Received Product today, looks good but the hose didn't click into the machine. Need to get it fixed. Informed Amazon to replace or rectify asap.

Do not buy. It started well. Felt a good suction power but in 10 mins it started making a weird sound accompanied by bad burning odor. Thought it was because it became heated up but not so. After that moment it continued with burning smell and wierd sound even after few hours of cooling/rest. I have requested for a replacement. Hope replacement would work else will lose money. There is no option to return that I could find. Replacement only.I do not recommend. Go with any other product. Buy at your risk.I will post my experience on the replaced piece as to how that works.
