Seems to work well
This is good stuff! This is my second purchase of this product. I originally bought this after having my sewer line get clogged with roots about a year and a half ago. It seemed to do the job, as I haven't had any more problems. I made this purchase to use as preventive maintenance instead of waiting for another clog.

Tree Roots Cleared
A licensed plumber wanted $2000. to unclog our effluent line to the city's street sewer line. So far, this product did what it was advertised to do. It's a product I'll use periodically to clear the drainage from the house to the street. The villain being invasive roots from trees. It works at our home.

OPENS THE FLOW
Plumber recommended product over one year ago. He got the root killer for me. Using it at regular intervals, the water flowed unimpeded. Now that original product has all been used, I have ordered myself from Amazon and expect the water to continue to flow.

Something I'll keep using
It's hard to prove a negative but I moved into my house 3.5 years ago and it's my first septic tank. I have a LOT of trees and of course the septic company that inspected/pumped the tank before I bought the house said nothing about roots being an issue, a friend mentioned it. So I buy this once a year, putting half in the toilet twice a year, to hopefully keep roots from destroying the septic system. In 20 years, I'll let you know how well it worked ;)I do have a friend who owns an apartment complex and has a lot of problems with roots, etc clogging up his septic systems. I told him about this so he's now buying it, on a more industrial scale, to treat his septic systems.

Root Killer
I liked the container it was in. Easier to handle then others I have used. It hasn't been long enough since I put it into my septic tank to see any results. To make sure it didn't just sink to the bottom of my septic tank and take longer to work, I poured it into a throw-away glass container with water in it and let the crystals dissolve for several hours then flushed down my toilet nearest the septic tank.I covered my eyes with goggles and wore gloves when handling...never let any product touch my eyes or skin.

Might not work for you
Bought and used this product. Did not work as suggested by its description and other reviews. So be weary might not work for you. Also before you buy. Just call a plumber first and foremost. Have them take a look at it before you pour it down the drain. In my case, I still had to call a plumber because the toilet backed up and began leaking into the floor boards after I used this product.Plumbers don't like working on pipes that aHad added chemicals in it. They can and do get burned for working with YOUR poop. Do them a favor and yourself. Don't pour anything like this down thebdrain and THEN call the plumber. Be respectful and knowledgeable and think of what you are doing before you do it.Don't buy this product and think it'll fix your problems and save a buck.Buy once you know for sure your pipes are clear and root free to PREVENT any root issues.Just call a plumber

Quicker than a plumber, used Rooto Root Killer and drains flowed again in 20 minutes.
Water was flowing smoothly again in 20 minutes. Thank goodness!I planted a couple papaya trees about 20 feet from the septic.I had no idea they would be 15 feet in less than one year, and have roots stretching out 20 feet or more. In hindsight, they had some great fertilizer. So now I have a bunch of papayas I have no interest in eating, but hey, the chicken like them and the root killer didn't damage the trees. You don't think there will be residue of this in the fruit do you?

this stuff seems like it may have finally stopped whatever was growing into ...
I think this stuff may have finally done the trick (knock on wood). After having to clean out the sewer drain line on my own or have a plumber do it (at a significant cost for tool rental or the plumber either way) at least every other year for a long time, this stuff seems like it may have finally stopped whatever was growing into the drain from coming back. Good riddance to the sewer drain backing up into the house.
