Just what I was looking for!
This is the FOURTH pixel 9 pro fold case I purchased, and finally I found one I love. The other 3 from various brands either didn't fit properly or turned this slick beautiful device into an ugly boxy brick. It's definitely minimal, but if makes the phone more comfortable to hold and less slippery which is great. There is also a lip around the smaller outer screen so there is a little protection there. When the phone is open there is no lip, the case is beautifully flush with the screen. Also, it's just a beautiful case that compliments and adds to the phone asthetics without taking anything away. I recommend adding a glass screen protector, it works really well with this case. Also, be careful with the little sticky bumpers meant to secure the case to the phone. While pulling off the plastic film they came right off and I didn't realize it right away. The case still works fine after adjusting and they send it with extra sticky bumpers (I don't know what to call them). Even though the price was really steep for a phone cover, I'm really happy with this purchase. I'll be looking here first for all my future phones.

One of the most minimalistic cases for a Pixel 8 Pro
I was skeptical when I ordered. I really wasn't in the market for a carbon fiber thing, but I did get a chance to try this out so I did. First off, I was actually impressed by the minimal case it comes in. Normally, I see boxes here are all minimal to be recycled, this one is too, but gives a more premium feel for what you are buying. This seems like carbon fiber and the threads in it are neat and nicely patterned. In my past life as a car modder, I dealt with carbon fiber a lot and this version is more of a matte textured feel than glossy, which are on cars that have overcoat or clearcoat to protect from the elements. This is not raw by any means, but is very soft to the touch and provide a nice grip to the phone. The cutouts are perfect and centered. There's even a cutout on top for the mmWave antenna, which, honestly I didn't know was there until the cutout showed me. The corners have a slit to for the case to form over the corners of the phone, which is normal for this type of thin case. It is very thin and lightweight. This will not protect your phone from a long drop, but it will protect it from basic bumps. Besides that, the look is very well done. There is no lip for the front of the phone, but that is why they send you two tempered glass screen protectors. These fit a bit better than my inexpensive glass I had on previously. I did try these out because I wasn't entirely happy with the existing ones. In test fitting them, I did see they were more aligned with the shape of the phone, but just shy a millimeter to the edges. I think they did this for case fitting. Which is fine, but it bugs me a bit that I can see the screen past the protector. The other thing is that the interior of the case is the same as the other side, soft but not felt. Otherwise, if you are looking for a very minimal case that feels nice get this. Very minimal branding. The camera bump on the back is well protected for this type of case. There is a bit of lip there to keep it protected. Keep in mind, this is a minimalistic case, so do not expect heft here. If you like thin cases, this is a winner here.

It's the case for me. Definitely.
This is a beautiful case. It offers decent protection. I love the way I can finally feel my phone in my hand, like having it with no case. Looks extremely fine.I don't recommend it to someone that tends to drop the phone. As I mentioned it offers decent protection but to be fair is not more than that.

Amazing case
Great feel, great looks. It is super thin which I appreciate, but it still feels like it will be protective, particularly when combined with the screen protector. Expensive but no regrets!Update - removing one star because the screen protector is bad. Scratches very easily compared to other screen protectors.

Nice case, absurd price, wasteful packaging
I'm not someone who ever wanted a case for my phone, but the Pixel 8 is truly a slippery phone. I had read people commenting online about this and thought, how slippery can a phone be? The answer is like a bar of soap that you dropped on the floor of the shower. If I put the Pixel 8 down on a surface that is even slightly not perfectly level, it just slowly starts sliding away toward the edge of the table or wherever. So I was looking for something that would not increase the bulk of the phone. There was one plastic case I considered, that was thinner than the Thinborne, also a ridiculous price, but people said it was a bit slippery itself. So I went with Thinborne. The case is very nice. It has a nice rubbery texture and definitely solves the slipperiness problem. It feels good in the hand. It fits tightly on the phone and I'm hopeful it won't loosen up over time, as some people say happens with cases. I was surprised when I took it off after a couple weeks that there was a lot of dust/lint around the edges of the camera hump. I though the case was so tight, nothing could get in there (I'd carefully cleaned the phone before putting the case on). Perhaps this is unavoidable. I can live with it.Honestly, the material is so nice, I don't understand why phone companies don't just make phone backs out of Aramid fiber (which is RF transparent) instead of glass (which is RF transparent, but also fragile and stupid).People should note that the case comes with a insert that warns the case is not intended to protect against drops. That wasn't my goal, but I hope it might provide a little bit of protection (perhaps Thinborne is just covering themselves). So the case is nice. But the price is beyond absurd. They want $40 for this thing (and $50 on their own website). You can by cases made from 600D Aramid fiber elsewhere for about $3. That probably reflects the real cost of the materials. Sure, those cases may not be made as well, but there is zero chance that Thinborne added more than ten times the value to this case.In addition, Thinborne ships the case in a ridiculous wooden cigar box like box. Why is this what needs to be done with trees? This is totally a waste of the world's resources and absurd. The phone case itself is not some sort of jewel one got as a gift for a lover. This also probably increases the cost. I don't need to pay for that. And the phone case also ships with two "free" screen protectors. Of course they're not free, that's also bumping up the cost. For $15 this case would be reasonably priced. For $40 it's a rip off. But it's a nice case and it served my purpose, so I sucked it up. My apologies to mother nature over the wasted resources on the wooden box and the screen protectors I didn't want. I wouldn't blame anyone for taking a chance on the $3 600D Aramid fiber cases that can be had elsewhere.
