I think most people fear working on their own devices such as iPhones but it’s really pretty simple to replace parts, especially when there are instructional videos out there. Also most of the parts like this one come with the tools needed to do the work. So you will pay only for the parts which is a tiny fraction of what you would pay at a tech shop. This has revitalized my iPhone 8, well this along with a new battery. I replaced my battery but I knew this needed to be replaced as well because I was not getting a good connection from multiple charger cables, especially since those cables were working to charge other devices. Replacing the part was not that difficult, I always find a YouTube video for guidance. The hard part is being old and not being able to see the tiny screws and parts. This new charger port makes my phone feel like new when plugging in a charging cable, it’s very tight again instead of loose. No problems charging now.

The description says compatible with SE 2020 2nd gen which is what I have. After taking 8 hours to disassemble and reassemble the phone, It still doesn't charge and now it reboots itself. very poor quality part. I should have read the reviews first. My Bad. And just so you know, about a dozen components and 2 dozen microscopic bolts have to be taken out before you can replace the port. I think only the battery was left. I had to take all other components out first which took 8 hours total once reassembled. Next time, take it to a gadget repair person and pay the $100... It wasn't worth the frustration just to have it not work and now have another issue with it. Oh, and the screwdrivers are not magnetic so good luck holding onto those 2 dozen bolts!!

My son in law is a wire nerd. .he can fix anything. Even he had trouble installing. He has done one other phone in the past with same issue. Need a docking port. Well somthing broke inside and now phone turn it’s self off then back on every 3-4 minutes. So part five star. But tough project

The part is great, but I messed up by putting it wrong accidentally. Should of taken out the mother board. I still recommend this item, for the price and shipping. 5 star.

Instructions were not clear enough for me.Found out the contacts were just dirty on my phone so I just return this.

Upfront, I did not install this, I had a pro do it for me. That said, it works as it should therefore it gets my highest recommendation

I installed two of these in the same phone. Neither would charge, on one the mic soak didn’t work, the other the mic was muffled. Lower speaker never sounded, connector was stiff to connect to the logic board (like it was just one size wrong) and some of the screw holes didn’t line up as they should.I bought a different brand and poof, like magic everything worked as it should.I’m approaching 2000 iPhone repairs. Trust me, stay away from these.
