Stale, tough, and chewy, no matter how it's popped
I bought a 12-pack of these popcorn kits and a GNPC Lincoln Popper. While the popper appears to work properly, the popcorn always turns out stale, tough, and chewy. The kits' instructions say to heat the oil for 3-4 minutes before adding the salt and popcorn. I've tried timed preheat cycles of 3, 3 1/2, and 4 minutes. It made no difference. I've even tried increasing the popcorn's water content (soaked in water for 30 minutes, dried on paper towels, then cooked) in case the kernels were simply too dry. It yielded zero improvement. No matter what I've tried, the popcorn always turns out stale, tough, and chewy. I won't be buying this brand of popcorn kit again.
