Excellent equipment at a great price!
I am very impressed! I just assembled this Smith machine. The instructions were easy to follow. I did it by myself, but a second pair of hands would help. It's sturdy, but it has a small footprint, so I anchored it to the floor with lag bolts. I feel this is mandatory from a safety standpoint. There are concrete anchors included in the kit if you are installing the Smith on a slab.I've only put in a couple of sets of incline bench in just to demo my work, and it feels smooth, sturdy, and reliable. Two things to be mindful of: 1. Follow the instructions carefully, and pay attention to every detail from the diagrams. 2. DO NOT tighten every connection all the way because you will need a little play room to make sure everything lines up. After it is fully assembled, then make sure all connections are tight. All the parts and tools are included in the kit, but I did not use the wrench included. A 17mm socket and socket wrench is MUCH more efficient.I am very happy with this purchase. Buy it because I'm sure you will be happy too. Remember to plan to ANCHOR your machine to the floor.

Great guy.
The media could not be loaded. I like it. It’s hard to beat for the price. It was easy to build. I saw people complaining about it tipping over. I threw some 45s on the back and it works just fine for me. I didn’t have to anchor it down to the cement. It’s not a $1,000 rogue rack and you need to remember that going in but it’s definitely worth it’s value and then some.

Great addition to a home gym
This a pretty solid piece of equipment that is easy to assemble. The overall design is well thought out and provides smooth even functionality with no jerking or unevenness. As 6"1' user there is plenty of room for me to full extend without hit the top of the machine. Those over about 6"4' could have issues depend on both proportions. The machine itself is definitely too light not the be anchored to the floor. The instructions do recommend anchoring it to a concrete floor and the machine does come with the appropriate hardware. If you are not going to anchor it to the floor, then I highly recommend at least 75 to 100 lbs of counter weight on each side. Old standard or Olympic plates work very nice, you just can't mix and match plate types.

Skeptical, but worth it!
For a cheap unit this is great! As long as you bolt it to the floor and don’t expect a commercial unit this thing can’t be beat. One downside is the paint they use sucks but you can paint the uprights with a truck bed liner for durability before you assemble it

PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO INSTRUCTIONS
The media could not be loaded. I'm adding to this review. So after about 10 days it's holding up nicely....if you plan on going heavy.....especially with squats or overhead presses....I recommend using the anchors it comes with....if not you will be wobbly.....I'd recommend it anyway....unless you get some U shaped braces that weigh over 60lbs to sleeve over the the back portion of the rack....near where the plates are stored.....the better you stabilize this the longer it'll last. I haven't anchored mine yet but i am....I'm just waiting for other heavy U shaped braces with holes to get here and use those with the anchorings built into the rack already.....it's well worth adding the extra brackets because you're still not paying much at all at the end of the day. I recommend this equipment....I just wanted to use it first before giving it another thumbs up.....and like I've already said....pay close attention to the instructions and anchor the the crap out of it.....enjoy!I guess I'm the first. For the price....it's really not bad. It's sturdy and solid. My only thing would the barbell covers....they're hard plastic and i think they should be a metal...probably steel. Other than that it's not flimsy.....make sure you lay everything out so you know what you have and pay attention to the instructions. I've WD40'd it and tightened everything but I won't be able to give an in depth opinion until i start breaking it in....tightening and lubricating as i go so that it settles in....but for the price and what little bit of a trial run I gave it...i give it a thumbs up. This isn't a sugarcoated positive review of the perfect sweetness of the rack.....it's someone giving their first impression of a product that has the POTENTIAL to be some nice workout equipment.

Really great at a stupendous price
Sleeve is super smooth with ball bearings, really easy to assemble. Was ready to spend more and so glad I found this. Game changer... and they include the cushion sleeve for squats!

New Smith machine
For the price it's not bad. I'm 6 ft and I wish it was a little taller for standing Calf Raises. But for the price you can't go wrong.
