Recently got a metal detector and wanted to beach detect. Needed a scoop that was compact for travel and had good build quality. The handle that mounts to the scoop was a must for me and works great. The long handle threads together for a rigid fit versus the detent pin style that tend to wobble. I would say it’s almost as rigid as a one piece handle. I did a lot of digging on wet and dry sand with no complaints. Never seemed to loosen up during my search. Only plus I could addd would be to include a carry bag to keep all the pieces together for travel. I used a little shoe bag duffel and it works great.I would definitely suggest trying this out for the price. Half the cost of others I was looking at.

We used this scoop in the gravel and at Lake Superior for several days. It held up really well, showing no signs of wear or rusting. Overall a good tool for fun at the beach looking for interesting rocks because you can go deeper into the water looking for treasures and you don't need to dive in or get your upper body all wet when you find something you'd like to look at more closely. Handle doesn't seem that sturdy, but it held up surprisingly well.

Well this scoop broke after 1/2 hour of using it. I guess I cannot say it was entirely of the product because it was cheaper than others. If you buy this plan on taking small scoops of sand because if you test the welds by getting a full scoop for a few times they will fail! This was very hard to deal with since I live in Colorado and took the scoop to Florida to use while I was there. I included pictures to show the failure and as you can see I was able to zip tie the top for a little while. My recommendation is save your money and get one built out of stronger metal…

I wasn’t sure what to expect durability wise with this, but it was much better then I thought. Sturdy, easy to use, easy to take apart. Perfect for the beach. It’s lightweight so you don’t have to worry about how heavy it is. Which is ironic because it’s very durable. Worth the price which wasn’t much. I’d highly suggest buying this for your next beach / ocean/ lake use.

Just received today and assembled. Not used yet but seems very sturdy. We'll see when going to coast to dig wet sand. Transaction was smooth and arrived a day sooner than predicted. Thank you for that too.

The shovel was a gift but she enjoyed it.
