Easy exercise with added benefits.
Gentle exercise for when walking in the rain does not appeal. Not a particularly challenging task even with the tension screw well turned, but do it for twenty minute or so and the expended effort will be felt. The calorie count must be somewhat speculative (the machine knows nothing about me) but it does remove the guilt associated with eating a bag of crisps! Do you fall asleep when reading or watching TV? A bonus feature is that although it increases activity, this device requires little in conscious engagement. It is unlikely that you will drop off while pedaling and you can continue to enjoy the book or programme for longer. It generates little noise so should not keep others awake. Negatives? Few in my view. Slips on smooth floor if not on some matting and the pedal crank, which is mainly covered, gets very hot! Those calories heating the crank are your calories! Does not need the pedal straps. It is not expensive and seems well made. Minimally intrusive and can be easily hidden from those who might mock. I've had no regrets since getting it.

Great for when you spend hours sat at a desk.
As I often spend ten hours of more sat at my desk, I find that my legs become stiff and swollen. I always try to walk before starting work, and also afterwards, but it's not always possible when I'm busy. So I bought this mini cycle to try it out, and I'm actually impressed with it. I find I can move my legs without really thinking about it, so it doesn't interrupt what I'm doing. It helps prevent my legs from swelling and feeling heavy, which is fantastic, and I can concentrate on my work and still keep active. It has lost a star as the screen stopped working after the first use, and now either stays on zero or is completely blank, but that doesn't really bother me. It also folds up nicely so can be kept stored away when not in use.EDITStarted squeaking very loudly after a few weeks of daily use. After spraying on some WD40, and tightening up all the screws, it continued to squeak loudly for another 10-15 minutes, and I was just about to give up on it when it stopped. It is now...thankfully...lovely and quiet again.EDITThe squeaking has now reached a point where no amount of WD40 can stop it, and the pedals have started wobbling and no real resistance can be maintained. I've knocked a star off for this as I had hoped it would last longer. But as it is used daily, sometimes for three hours I can't really complain, and for the price I suppose I can replace it each year...but would prefer to be able to just replace parts and not add to more rubbish in the environment. Still think it's a nice little exercise bike though, love that I can fold it up and put it out of the way, just a shame it's now wobbly and very noisy.

Dangerous and ignorant
Metal gets so hot from peddling, I got a blister from touching it! When trying to move it/put it away. (Luckily on my hand and not legs, where I have a rare neurological condition)I don’t normally leave reviews, especially bad ones, but I have been ignored by the company. I emailed the company to say about the issue and had no response. The bike has now also started to ruin the bottom of my expensive adapted trainers (I require AFOs to stand, and use a wheelchair)The metal comes through the pedals and breaks into the trainers sole when peddling.Unfortunately as I was waiting in a response from the company, regarding the burn, I went over the return period. If you’re reading this and recently bought it, send it back and get a refund. And if you haven’t bought it, don’t.

Does what it says
Arrived earlier than expected, sturdy, works for me. Only had a week but digital monitor seems accurate re minutes and rotations. Think calorie burner count suspect at 1400 for 10 mins.Socks do catch but easily overcome by wearing light weight shoes. Value for money.
