I just got this today and I bought some other DIY welding kits. This one is really good. The metal is almost twice as thick as the other ones and I feels like the steel is a little bit better quality so it’s easier to learn how to weld on the edges it’s kind of small But I think it’s gonna be really nice when it’s done and it’s not expensive and it’s good quality and easy to learn on.

Very simple and comes with just two pieces, the bottom and the sides all attached but notched and no printed instructions but fairly obvious how it has to go together. Just fold into shape and weld. It is laser cut so there is cleanup that needs to be done prior but it is stainless as in the description. For new welders... be careful as it is thin! As long as you control your heat and do not penetrate all the way through you should be fine. Might be worth while to back purge this since burn through is highly probably if you are not used to material this thin.

This welding kit is a serious step up! Getting a good fit requires precision, and the angles are tricky, but that's what makes it great for practicing real-world fabrication. It didn't help that these pieces and not magnetic. The pieces were clean and only required a small amount of cleanup prior to welding. If you're not afraid of a challenge, this kit is a great way to hone your skills.

I got these to for someone to practice welding on at my shop. The coupons came clean enough to weld (we still cleaned them first) and were easy enough to bend into shape. The product listing says these are stainless steel. They don't appear to have chromium in them, and look like cold rolled steel, but I'm a hobby welder and no expert so I made sure to wear proper PPE for welding stainless. Overall I'm happy with the practice welding coupons and would recommend to others.

This kit is awesome. Its really fun to practice with something that could be useful in the end instead of garbage. I'm still learning to weld, so these turned out...so/so on my end, but the kit was perfect. Once I welded them all up I was able to flap-disk most of my errors and come out with a pretty "ok" finished product.I wish I knew this type of stuff existed when I started learning. This is a lot of fun and its a great way to show of your skills...or at least your "effort" as in my case.

This kit is tough. I've done the pen holders before, but these are a step up in difficulty. The fit up on these are hard to get right and you might need some clamps or something to get this to fit together just right. The angles you have to weld on are challenging but realistic to what you need to know how to do when fabricating things. These arrived clean but I did clean them up a bit more with acetone before welding them.Overall, if you're looking for a welding challenge, you should definitely give this a shot.

I ordered the 2 set of vases to practice my welds on. Given how thin these are, they might be more intermediate level as I'm not sure I'd be able to get these fully set up on a stick welder without burning a few holes through them. See pics of steel condition (light tarnish / size of gauge/ overall dimensions).I deducted 1 star as there were no instructions provided about how to fold the vase before welding it.
