I’ve been using a new cookbook with quite a few recipes calling for dark soy sauce. Since I couldn’t find it locally, I was happy to be able to order this product. It’s a VERY large bottle, and unless you’re running a restaurant it will probably last a long time. It’s a more opaque, dark, syrupy liquid than my usual soy sauce, but tastes similar. It seems as if most soy sauce is salty, even the low sodium ones I usually purchase, but this one has 55% of the recommended daily value (%DV) of sodium in 1 tablespoon per its label, so I’ll be using it sparingly.

This is a big ol' jug of soy sauce and I love it. I live in a rural town without an Asian market, so finding more niche items can be tricky for me - so happy to see this available on Amazon.The flavor of this is super rich and salty. I don't really get much of a mushroom taste from this, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be noticeable. I used this for a stir fry and it was delicious. I also really like the beautiful dark color of the finished product. It's very appealing and makes the food look extra special.The handle makes this big bottle easy to hold and to pour. This is a good buy and a reasonable price for such a large jug.

This is a 1.75 L jug of mushroom dark soy sauce from Haday. It arrived fresh and factory sealed, with a far off "best by" date. I go through a fair amount of soy sauces of various types, including dark soy, so using it up won't be an issue. In addition to the typical dark soy flavor, this sauce also has a fairly subtle mushroom flavor, which gives it extra umami. It's not a slap-you-in-the-face mushroom flavor, it's just enough to give it that added dimension. This is not low sodium soy sauce, so if you're watching your sodium use this in moderation. It's a richly flavored sauce though, so even if you have to cut back this will taste great. At the time I'm writing this, the 1.75 L bottle is priced at $22.99, which I think is an excellent value.
