Absolutely the best
This compressor works absolutely great. The only thing I was upset with was that it did not come with an air hose. Did not notice that in the description, but after getting an air hose and attachments, once you hook it up, it works like a charm. Very easy to setup and install, pressure fills up fairly quick, very nice size and compact.

Great little compressor.
This is a very nice compressor. Airs up quickly and for a compressor IS a quiet unit.

Convenient little Air Compressor
I think I had higher hopes for this unit. However, "I have grown to quite love it". It's a smaller capacity that I had original planned to purchase, but I think the size, easy of use and transporting has made up for any short comings.I primarily use it to blow off engine parts, and do some small spray painting. Most useful for filling up my car tires. The most surprising this is how quiet it is. I could use it outside at 2am and it wouldn't disturb my neighbors.Only concern is how hot the motor part gets (burn your skin hot). But I have ran it from long periods (5 minutes straight with the motor running) and it hasn't failed as yet. I guess I'll provide a follow-up later. All in All, I'm very happy with my purchase. Note, I have started to buy more of this brand (Vevor), and I'm quite impressed with the value for money.

Good and Quiet Compressor. Fittings thread are BSPT.
Used it now for a month. It runs pretty quite. It pressurize to 116 psi (8 BAR) but will bleed out and hold at 105 psi (7 BAR) psi. I had to add teflon tape to the pressure sensor on the side of the compressor.Note:I replaced the ball valve on the compressor with a filtered regulator. I found out the threads are not NPT. I had to buy NPT to BSPT adapter fittings. The threads on the compressor pressure switch 4-Way stem is threaded 1/4" BSPT. British Standard Pipe Taper is common in Europe (55 deg thread, 19TPI). The US uses NPT (60 deg thread, 18 TPI).

Cord way too short. Won't work with an extension cord. JUNK!!!
Total waste of money. For starters, the cable to plug it in is only about 40 inches long. This means I have to have the pump no further that 2 1/2 feet from the outlet. That is a ROYAL PAIN!!! I actually have to put the pump ON THE BENCH so it can reach an outlet. Then, if I connected it to an extension cord, the pump either won't come on or it starts and then shuts off in a couple of seconds. The wheels are too small. If you try to move the pump using the handles, it wants to tip over.I'm in the process of adding a couple of feet to the cord so it will at least reach an outlet. If that doesn't help, it's going straight to the garbage.Don't buy this. Good price, but not very useful at all.

Fantastic
I purchased this compressor to use with a few air tools as well as a plasma cutter. This product is absolutely amazing and meets all expectations. I would definitely recommend this compressor to anyone who needs the higher CFM to run a few small air tools that don't have space or budget for a massive compressor.

Very Good Value: Some Threads Were Painted: No Manual And Poor Customer Service: Motor Is Not 2 hp
This air compressor is a very good value. IMO, it's well designed and well made-- but see below. My 3-Star rating above is the combination of (4.5-Star for the air compressor) minus (2-Star for a manufacturing flaw and other issues, as described below). Some Threads Were PaintedThe unit has a folding handle, and the folding handle attaches to the chassis via 2 threaded bosses. On my unit I saw 2 problems: 1) I did not receive the nuts that hold the handle onto the threaded bosses. 2) The threads were painted!I'm not a manufacturing engineer, but I know enough to say that threads should not be painted. Here's what I did on my unit: for each threaded boss, I measured its diameter and its thread pitch. I saw that the threads are metric, and the spec is M6X1.0. I went to my local hardware store and bought 2 Nyloc locknuts in that size. At home, I tried to install each nut. I could not even get the nuts to start. Finally I figured out the reason: the factory had painted over the threads. I then used a metric die (the opposite of a tap) with cutting oil, and reformed the threads. This took at least 5 minutes for each threaded boss. After that, I installed the folding handle, which included installing the nuts onto the bosses. No Manual And Poor Customer ServiceI did not receive an instruction manual. I noticed that it was missing 9 days ago when I opened the box. That same day, I contacted Vevor (the Amazon customer service page for this item says to do that), and I asked Vevor to e-mail a PDF version of the manual to me. I still do not have a manual.During the past 9 days, I received 3 e-mails from Vevor customer service. Each one says: "Ticket Will Be Marked As Solved. Our customer service staff has not received your response to this ticket for a few days. We will mark it as Solved if we do not receive an update in the next 24 hours.".But that's not true. I replied to each e-mail that Vevor sent. In each reply, I said that I still have not received an instruction manual. IMO Vevor customer service is terrible. The instruction manual is not available on the Vevor website.Motor Is Not 2 hpThe Amazon product page for this item says that the motor is "2 hp". This should mean that at full load, the motor will provide a mechanical power output of 2 hp. But that's not true. I'll explain why.The unit's nameplate says that the motor uses 1450 W of power at 120 VAC. Actually the nameplate should tell us how much current the motor draws at its rated voltage, instead of how much power it uses. I used an accurate meter and I saw that when the motor is on and at full load, it draws 13.2 A of current at a voltage of 115.5 VAC. That means that the unit uses 1525 VA of "complex power", called S. (The terms here are defined in the Wikipedia article "AC Power".) I also saw that, according to the meter I used, the unit has a power factor, PF, of 0.87. This means that the unit uses 1325 W of "real power", called P (and P= PF*S). We can get a good estimate of the mechanical power output of the motor by providing a reasonable value for the motor's efficiency and performing one more calculation. For the motor efficiency, Eff, let's be generous and say that Eff= 0.90 (and yes, that's being generous). That means that the mechanical power output of the motor, Pout= Eff*P= (0.90)*(1325)= 1195 W= 1.6 hp. (Power can be stated in watts or horsepower.) So the unit's mechanical power output is actually only 80% of the value stated on the Amazon product page (2 hp).SummaryAs I said above, I think this air compressor is a very good value. I'm very happy with it now that I assembled it properly, which included reforming the threads which the factory had painted. Also, even though the Amazon product page says that the motor has a mechanical power output of 2 hp but the true mechanical power output of my unit is only 1.6 hp, that's not a big deal to me. The more important thing to me is that the air compressor appears to be well made, even though the factory made some minor mistakes.Amazon, please correct the power output value of the motor as shown on its Amazon product page. The correct value must be 1.8 hp or less. That's because if the motor has a mechanical power output of 1.8 hp, it would draw 15 A of current from the outlet (using the other values discussed here). If this compressor were to draw more than 15 A of current, that would be a fire hazard, because the unit has a plug with a maximum current rating of 15 A.Also, Amazon, would you please get Vevor customer support to actually reply to customer inquiries.

10 Gal Vertical.. Break-In.... Instructions are wrong ..
1st off. Install the muffler caps to the exhaust. Cant miss it, you can look at it and know what to do. That is NOT in the instructions. Next, the instructions say to turn the red valve clockeise and run for 30 min. That valve is only air pressure to the hose. What you need to do is, open the drain valve on the bottom of the tank. Run it for 30 min. Turn off, let it cool. Close the drain valve and your done. The motor is VERY QUIET and fills the 10 gallon tank in under 1 min. But you can take the instructions and throw them away. Completey useless. Over all, very happy with it and seems to be decent quality.
