I bought this to put in my motel room. For the price I didn’t expect it to b a great camera. It turned out to be a great little camera for a cheap price. I haven’t had any issues with it and the setup was super easy happy with my decision to get this camera

This product was not connecting to the internet, and I could not connect it to the app also. The directions were not clear and hard to understand. I would not recommend this.

Setup proved to be somewhat difficult, more so than any of the other camera systems I work with. Unfortunately the instructions and the app are not in English. The app seemed to be a bit glitchy when connecting to WiFi. The image was clear and quick connect.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this to put in my guinea pigs open cage so I could keep an eye on him while I'm at work and he could stay in his bigger area.The instructions compared to actual set up left a lot to be desired. There were some large gaps in the steps, big chunks missing it seemed. It just took some trial and error though, and I managed to get the camera connected. I'm still very unsure if I've connected it correctly, or if maybe that's where my issue is.As far as I can tell, my phone has to be connected either to the same wifi as the camera, or to the camera itself, I really can't tell which. But that means if I'm not at home, I can't check the camera. Which makes it less than useless for what I'd intended to use it for. I'm hopeful I just haven't figured out exactly how to connect correctly.The video quality isn't great. If you were using this to identify someone, you'd be hard put unless they stood completely still and stared right at the camera. But for general viewing it's more than good enough so long as it's a fairly well lit area. You can see in my video it starts in low lighting. I had two lamps across the room on, and the TV right next to it on. So not total darkness, but low lighting. Once I turned on the sconces closer to it, the viewing quality improves greatly. The description said there was no sound, but you can see it's an option on the screen, and it does work.In the app you can take stills or record video and save it to the app. It shows you have the option to share them, and possibly to save it to your device but that option isn't available to me. I did email it to myself, but it came through as only the sound and no video. I'm not sure if the issues I'm having are user error or are the camera itself. Either way, it's frustrating.My biggest issue is the battery life. This camera uses a micro usb charging cord, so not one most people have lying around if you're needing a longer cord to keep it plugged into a power source. If you have some sort of power bank you can keep it plugged into, you might have more luck in figuring everything out. It's also entirely possible the camera had died before I checked it at work today. I've ordered a longer charging cord so I can keep it plugged in while it's attached to his cage. As much as I'd prefer to limit any wires being close to his cage, it will be on the outside so perfectly safe.I've been piddling with this camera for over two days now, and have yet to make it useful for the purpose of my ordering it. But considering the insignificant cost, I really can't complain. If I can figure out how to keep it charged and connected, I think it would be perfect for my needs.
