Plant based isogenix review
No matter what I tried I was unable to make a “smooth” smoothie. The chocolate plant and vanilla chia plant isogenix also had a metal like aftertaste. I will not buy this again even tho I am lactose intolerant. I’ll track down the original mix. The plant based products were a Hugh disappointment to me. It was a total waste of my money.

Good stuff
The texture is smooth for a plant-based shake, and it mixes up well with a blender or shaker—no gritty clumps. The strawberry flavor is mild and a little earthy, definitely not overly sweet or artificial, which I actually prefer. It’s not a “dessert” shake, but it works if you're used to natural-tasting supplements.I like that it’s high in protein and fiber, and the vitamin profile is solid. It's filling enough to work as a meal replacement, especially if you blend it with something like almond milk or frozen fruit. I’ve used it post-workout and also as a quick breakfast, and it holds me over pretty well. One thing to note: if you're sensitive to the taste of plant proteins, there’s a slight aftertaste, especially from the mung and pea base, but it’s pretty manageable.Overall, a solid option if you’re looking for a vegan shake that’s functional, clean-label, and not overloaded with sugar.

Oh Wow That Price
I was going to give this a 4/5 until I saw that price, but we'll get back to that.....but wow. So in terms of flavor this is pretty good; It does not taste like "real" strawberry, but it has that classic artificial strawberry flavor, with just the right amount of sweetness so that it doesn't come off as incredibly artificial like some other products do. I'm not a "macros" guy, so I won't get into those, but I did upload a photo of the nutrition label since the Iron level is slightly different. Not enough for me to call it "false advertising," just to show what the label actually says. One thing I'd recommend is following the instructions, in that I made this with whole milk, while it says to use water, and I think that would've been better since it appears this has "built in" thickeners, since with whole milk this turned into something close to glue. After watering it down it still tastes fine, and is probably this thick to fill you up quicker, so just be warned if you're thinking of going that route. Also the serving size is much larger than I'd expect, with 2 large scoops taking up more a glass than I thought it would. But after all that we have to address the elephant in the room: The Price. Oh wow. I do understand this is going down the "meal replacement" road and has a lot of vitamins and nutrients that other protein powders don't, but the biggest text on this packaging is Protein Shake, so that's what I'm going to compare this to. Right now one of the most popular brands of protein powder can be bought for about $1 per serving, and each serving is 75% protein, whereas this is (at time of writing) over $5 per serving, and each serving is only 44% protein. So what you end up with here is something that is much more expensive, and runs out faster because you need to consume more of it to get the same amount of protein. Again yes, I know this is claiming to be a meal replacement, but it feels like a "have your cake and eat it to" kind of thing, trying to market to 2 different areas and being wildly inferior in one of them. I have no experience with meal replacements, if this is a good value for its nutritional benefits then that's fine, just leave the protein part out of the marketing if you're going to make the claim that "Common Protein Shakes have 10-15 grams of protein," when the market leader has double that, for 1/5 the price. Overall this is not a bad product, and like I said I was going to give it a 4/5 since its pretty good, just a bit thicker than I'd like, but after seeing that price I cannot go that high. Honestly if I could I'd probably go for a 2.5/5, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since I don't have much experience with meal replacement, and leave this with a 3/5.

Lots of Protein
IsaLean Protein Shake arrived well packaged. I had ordered the strawberry flavor protein powder. The powder only needs water added to it to make a thick strawberry shake. It was smooth, not grainy at all. I suppose one could add milk instead, but I thought it was thick enough just with water. I especially liked that it has 24g of vegan protein. I am not looking to build up big muscles at the age of over sixty-five years, but I had a doctor recommend more protein in my diet, suggesting at least 10 grams per bar or drink. This certainly does that and more with its nutrient-dense formula. The biggest drawback for this product that I can see is the price point. At $73.00 a canister, drinking it once a day would mean every two weeks you would be spending that amount again. I know that you can buy protein drinks for less with not as much protein per drink so there is a tradeoff.

Fantastic strawberry flavor. Quality abounds.
The strawberry flavor is excellent, the powder isn't grainy, it dissolves well into drinks and smoothies when stirred vigorously. What more is there to say? This is a wonderful source for clean plant-based protein. If you are seeking a vegan way to boost gains for workouts this is a solid choice.I find the strawberry flavor is perfect for fruit smoothies, paired with chocolate, and even sprinkled into morning or overnight oats.
