I would have been very pleased at any price-at a $49 special I was blown away! Great system, a no brainer to install! The app will literally not allow you make a mistake as you install. The additional components I purchased to round out the system are also well made and reasonably priced. For future development I would recommend to X Sense to consider a battery back up for the base unit along with an option to connect to the cellular network in case the WI FI goes down. The water detectors are great-here they may consider temperature and humidity to be built in.

I started off with the X-Sense smoke detectors and was so impressed that I added the security system to it. Both are independent but do connect to the same base and app. Hence, should you get their plan, which may not be necessary, all systems are included.Here’s a copy of my my comments about the smoke detector system that applies to this one as well:After reviewing a number of systems, I settled on X-Sense because these detectors are interconnected and WiFi based. The app is easy to use, the detectors are super easy to connect and installation was effortless. On top of it the functionality is prs rival and offers the right amount of options. I expanded the fire detection system to include the X-Sense security system. Because I can now get instant alerts on my phone wherever I am, I opted not to buy their monitoring plan - yet. Should I do so, the top plan is only $49.99 per year for both fire and security. That’s equivalent to one or two months of regular plans with the more known companies.

For a cheap home monitoring system it's very nice. Very easy to use and set up. The instructions for everything are very thorough. They have a lot of devices you can link up to the base (pay very close attention to models and compatibility, some things are independent and not part of the smart monitoring system) to keep track of anything in your home. I wish they still had cameras but maybe that will come back in the future. The only thing keeping for 5 stars in the mounting system using double sided tape does not last and with no option to screw many things in place I ended up using clear silicone to mount many of the little sensors. Still works great!

The X-Sense Smart Home Security System fell short of expectations. While the setup seemed straightforward, the system frequently disconnected from the app, making it unreliable for real-time alerts. The motion sensor was overly sensitive, resulting in numerous false alarms, and the door sensors occasionally failed to trigger notifications. Integration with Alexa was inconsistent, and customer support was unresponsive to troubleshooting requests. Overall, the system lacks the reliability and functionality needed for dependable home security.

It all started with a mailbox sensor. I researched all that was offered on Amazon and decided on X-Sense. I am so glad I did. I now also have a driveway sensor, multiple door and window alarms, motion sensors, 6 keypads, smoke and heat alarms, water sensors, temperature and humidity sensors. I have a complete security system and a complete safety system. X-Sense tells you you can have 50 devices on a base station. What it doesn't tell you is that you can have multiple base stations. I have 2, one named security and one named safety. I control everything from the app and get notifications for everything. The available settings in the app are extensive, including naming the device, naming its location, choosing a notification sound, etc. You can set the security alarm for off, home and away. You can set the motion sensors to only function when in away mode. I am just extremely satisfied with everything. Choose a device, tap a button on the app, double tap a button on the device, it connects and you are done. If desired you can then tweek things, even editing the order the devices show up on the screen in the app, as well as naming and renaming whatever you want.

I have lived with this X-Sense system for a couple weeks now and like it very much. I found it pretty easy to install and setup. Explore the app and find you can tune and adjust most settings to make this system work the way you want.The door sensors are magnetic so their use on metal doors have special considerations. Since my doors are wood these did not apply to me.The Alexa integration appears to just allow you to arm and disarm the system with voice commands. Like the Echo Connect, I imagine Amazon will figure out some way to charge more for this in the future but it really is not that useful. The app control and push alerts to your phone are the real star.
