GREAT purchase. Super happy with it.
Alright, all y’all pansies who have been posting about how you’d need a degree to get this toy to transform: it just need to be broken in.Great toy.My kid LOVES it. And I mean- it’s one of his favorites.(age 4 1/2)It IS tough to transform it the first couple tries but then once you get the hang of it, it’s super SUPER easy.

Dinosaur and Robot
Perfect gift for my 3 year old son. He’s loves both dinosaurs and robots, he was over the moon with the two combined. It’s definitely one of his favorite toys. The transformation was bit tricky at first but he got the hang of it after a few attempts.

Must have toy for transformer/dinosaur lovers
Almost gave this five stars, however it does get stuck at times when transforming which can be frustrating. When going from robot to dinosaur you have to pull pretty hard up on the tail to get it to go, and the tail sometimes snaps off in the process (it snaps right back on). My son is 3.5 and transforms toys much more complicated than this one and it can still be frustrating for him. That being said, we honestly love this toy and my son plays with constantly. The little blue dinosaur doesn't get much attention but he really loves the red one that doubles as a shield. When in either robot or dinosaur form it stands up, even on carpet, which for us is a big deal. He has a bumble bee trex that has horrible balance as a dinosaur. I would still recommend this, just be aware of the transforming issue.

Son’s fav toy
The media could not be loaded. Hands down my 5yr old sons fav Christmas present. He hasn’t even touched his other presents yet. I ended up going with this one for the simpler transformation and decent size compared to some other options out there, and it being the optimus my kids are used to seeing on rescue bots. Took me a while to figure out the transformation cause the instructions in the box are not helpful and there are no videos online. The trick is to place optimus face down, grab each leg with your hands and push with your thumbs as high up on his back as possible. (See video) was a little stiff the first time but afterward my son had no issues transforming it back and forth again.

Hard for little hands which means parents get bugged to transform over and over
Maybe we got a lemon but our Optimus is SO stiff and hard to push together to turn into dinobot mode that i have pinched my fingers many times. My son squeezes with all of his might and very rarely gets it. Also the feet and tail come off which is not ideal I was assuming the transformation wouldn't involve small pieces to lose and keep track of. The three stars is because my son does like it, especially the two small dinobots that it comes with and it does seem durable. I am hoping it loosens up over time. He has almost all of the other playskool transformers and he loves them all.

One of the Coolest Transformers
This definitely the coolest looking Transformer we have purchased. It’s by far a favorite. It is larger than the typical 6” size. It was not difficult to transform by a four year old who is used to playing with Rescue Bots. I would recommend it for kids five and up for those not familiar with the line based on level of difficulty in transforming. I would definitely purchase this item again for another gift.
