Cut a portion of the plastic sleeve to the length desired and place it over the black rubber shifter. Apply heat. The manufacturer demonstrates with a lighter, but a heat gun or hair dryer will also work very well as demonstrated by one reviewer. The sleeve "shrink wraps" the lever quite well. No more black smudges on one's brown boots. And it looks good, better than the lever socks and latex or rubber sleeves. Can't speak to longevity yet, but the manufacturer supplies enough material for more than a dozen replacements when necessary.

Moto bike shift boot; does what it claims... However:Measure, cut, install, Heat-shrink and done. Does it change the feel or action of the shift ? No.This is not quite what I thought; was expecting a closed end, something like the finger of a glove so to speak. However, this is shrink tube like you will find on the electronic isle. This is quite a large diameter, so must shrink a lot.Does what it claims, still I am not impressed, as it does not match my expectations.

So easy to apply! Just cut to size with scissors.They give you lots of shrink wrap, too!I used a heat gun to shrink it, although a good hot hair dryer or cigarette lighter would work fine too. Well worth the money; now my boots and shoes will stay cleaner!

It's a glove for your shifter. It saves your shoes from being obliterated by the shifter, especially if you have white shoes.

Overall product does what it’s intended to do. Issue is that it does not stay clear after heating looks almost white.

Decent! I did two layers just to get thicker buffer.

I like that it comes with two pieces about 6" long, so you can cut and use several times, or on different bikes. In my experience it doesn't affect how your bike looks or handles.
