I love this superb item, make sure you buy the right one
I want to be perfectly clear on this review.First, a herniated disc occured on my lower waist, it caused me have to do PT every week, and I have been suffering for years. Then, benefit from these photos on Amazon, it helped me figure out how to hang the device over the door! Although I am not the most mechanical sort and the device is pretty much assembled. I hang it over the door on my bedroom and used it every day. My disc is not as painful as before after several weeks of intermittent use with15min each time.I know, it is running in the right direction. It seems to be stable with the steel bar, and the head halter is high-quality. The hook so thick and the covering on it is made of leather and foam padding.I found it was not included when I purchased the related products from others. The most important thing is that the stretch strap is elastic that allows your head to be hung comfortably, rather than stiffly hanging. It's definitely worth the money and very reasonable for a home unit. If you want get an awesome cervical traction device, don't waste hundreds of dollars to experiment with cheap, inferior products.(I did it before. How stupid was I, how lucky it is now.)I saw that a girl is excercising with a cervical traction with a water bag on Facebook. It's a joke.Filling the water chamber which hangs from the door was clearly not an exact science.

Cheap
The plastic strap buckle broke first time use. I'm a 5' 10" 175 male. That buckle should be metal not plastic. Kinda dangerous.

FREAKING AMAZING! I give it 10 stars!
I wish I would have found this YEARS ago! I've had pain from my neck shooting into my arm for the last 2 days. I was ready to cut my head off today at work. My neck, shoulders and arm (pain from neck) were killing me.The traction device was delivered a few minute before I got home so I went straight to use it. I put a lot of my weight on the device for about 10-15 minutes. I came out pain free! I still had the muscle soreness from protecting my neck but the neck hurting was GONE. I love it!I didn't trust the bar totally to hold my weight so I blocked the bar so it could not slip and fall. I put a LOT of my weight on the device and it held fine. The head piece was mostly comfortable. You cant use this and breath comfortably through your mouth and definitely cant talk very well. But, it does what it supposed to do very well! Like I said, I wish I would have had this years ago! I plan on using this every day even when I'm not hurting. I give it 10 stars!

Not solid enough
Too complicated and not very safe. Or maybe I am too chicken to just drop my entire body and thinking I might brake my neck

Here are my personal observations and some tips:
Here are my personal observations and some tips:1. Be gentle, don't try to tighten too much, a little goes a long way. If you feel discomfort, you're doing something wrong. Less is more.2. Use a comfortable chair with arms, and without wheels. It makes getting up much easier and safer.3. Fitting the head piece takes some practice to get it in the exact right place.4. Attach the bar to a strong doorframe. The bar has tremendous leverage and can create a surprising amount of force. I use my weight to test the bar to make sure that it is not going to come off the doorframe. Once I decide where I am going to permanently place it, I will use the optional screws and bumpers to make assembly easy.Regarding the bar making marks on the doorframe: I use some good quality, 2-inch wide, general purpose masking tape on the area that the bar is to be attached to. The tape keeps the rubber marks off the paint, yet does not make the bar slip. Remove the tape immediately when finished using the traction device. If you forgot the tape and have marks on the frame, then a paste made from baking soda and some water will help gently remove the marks from the paint. It works well even on flat paint. The quality of the device is very good. The sewing and materials are professional. The hanger looks a little like a prototype, but it functions well and is strong, the cover makes it less likely to catch long hair or to cut you. The device is simple enough to assemble and set up. Other traction devices have pulley's and water bags and for me, the simpler the device, the more likely you will be to use it. You can easily adjust the tension of the device. To release, you simply stand up (and arms on the chair helps with that considerably).Recommended.

BUYER BEWARE
The plastic buckle snapped and broke on the first use...luckily I had my feet under me. I am keeping the unit however but replacing their straps with Metal Chain and carabiners instead. I can see after likely several uses their little foam ball will likely wear out and the strap might pull through it... Its a good product now with my modifications ! Hanging from a wooden beam in the garage or basement is a safer option.

Excellent Value
Have had to buy neck-traction device 3 times over the years. I feel great and toss away...then always end up in pain and agony until I get a new one and decompress a few minutes. This one is great without the hanging waterbag. I can use it standing up.
