I was making a mini DIY potion set as a gift for my daughter and included this. I was really hopeful that the "sparkles" would remain suspended it water to give a shimmery magical feel to her potions but was hesitant to get a whole set of that style in case it didn't work. I shouldn't have worried because it worked perfectly! Mini plastic bottles with corks, a set of various dried flowers, a mini mortar and pestle and she was all set!The colors stand out vibrantly when mixed into her potions but we have not personally used them in any food or consumed any of the potions.

These worked out great. The colors were vibrant and nice.

This is not gel color, which means that these colors make mostly pastel colors when using white frosting. The colors are great though!! I haven't tried the metallic yet, but the orange and teal look great!! And the color intensifies the longer it sits.

The bottles are tiny, and the coloring doesn't have the robust color of a gel though this poses as a liquid gel color. A full bottle of red is sadly insufficient for a single batch of buttercream and the silver was virtually invisible in a single batch of fondant.Don't bother.

Using for King's Cakes and loved the colors.

I ordered these specifically for the metallic gold. I went to color my buttercream with it and it did not color gold. Then I read on the box that the metallic colors are best used to paint with.That is not what I wanted at all.
