So I just recently discovered the effectiveness of cheerleading agents in skin care products because a preservative alone does not do a good job in preventing the product from going bad so sodium gluten is a really good option because it doubles as a electrolyte in a skincare product so you're getting benefits from it alone as well as for the whole formula and I really like this and would definitely recommend it. I'm gonna be using it in all of my products going forward.

Sodium gluconate is a fantastic multi-functional ingredient for cosmetic formulations. I use it primarily to stabilize and protect my products from discoloration and rancidity, especially when working with oils and butters prone to oxidation.It works by chelating metal ions, helping to prevent those ions from triggering rancidity. It also acts as a pH regulator, keeping formulations balanced and effective over time. As a bonus, it can also function as a humectant, helping to retain moisture in the skin.There are many chelating agents available to help extend shelf-life and stability, but this is one of the few that are "naturally" derived (i.e., crunchy granola approved). Good stuff.

It use it for my soaps. The powder has a strange odor though. I don’t smell it after I dissolve it in my soaps

This is a good quality product for my homemade soaps and lotions business. It blends well with my mixes and does a great job in the final products.

This is the first time I learn about sodium gluconate, I have not heard of it or tried it before, I still have to do some more research on it. You will only need a small amount to add to the soap making process. With an 8oz silver resealable bag, this will definitely last me a long time. I did not smell directly instead I simply smell from the outside of the bag as this is a fine powder, so read instructions before using it. I am wearing my N-95 mask when I work with this.

I use sodium gluconate as a dual humectant and chelating agent in my diy skincare products. It helps preserve my formulations while also providing some additional skin benefits. I generally do a UR of around 0.5% in my serums, creams and lotions (1% maximum) depending on the formula. I used this product in a test cream that I made and it was very easy to work with, similar results when compared to my previous product. This 8oz bag is a great price/value. It reseals very securely. I love this brand and this product.
