10/10, does what it says, easy set up, would buy again.
The media could not be loaded. It does exactly what it says it would! Quality seems good, sensors trigger hub and the app within a few seconds. It was super easy to connect and set up even with my ADHD brain that hates reading instructions… :) I’d say 10/10!I’ve been having unexplained leaks a few times a year in one of my properties abroad for 5years now. The place is occasionally rented only, so sometimes I only find out about leaks when I do a property checks, that there has been a leak... I decided to get this device to put it in the ceiling/on the plaster board where water usually enters, so I can monitor when it happens, and to have record to see if it’s weather related. (I Put a camera in my window so I can check when alarm is triggered)… building maintenance refuses to engage so I took it upon myself to investigate… :)I researched for a long time, and I’m so glad I got this device! I wish I could mute the hub, but it’s only my preference to not bother my guests with an alarm, but otherwise I’m really happy with it! Will buy it again!

Handy and Reliable Water Leak Detector
Item title: X-Sense Wi-Fi Water Sensor with SBS50 Base Station, Smart Water Leak Detector, App Alerts, IP67 Waterproof, Wireless Detector for Kitchen, Bathroom, Basement, SWS0A41Delivered price with Prime: £64.99My comments and opinion: I’ve been using the X-Sense Wi-Fi Water Sensor for a few weeks, and it works well so far. The app alerts are useful, especially when I’m not at home, and the base station alarm is loud enough to catch my attention. The sensor is compact, so it fits easily in tight spaces like under sinks.I like that it can detect even small leaks. The only thing I’d change is having the alarm sound on the sensor itself, not just the base station. Overall, it’s a good product for peace of mind.Could imagine this would be handy for landlords in property's too as an extra level of protection.

Exactly what I needed
I tend to leave home as part of business travel for long periods of time, and at times I worry about whether I left anything on before leaving. Having this leak detector has put my fears to bed, since I placed the detectors in different areas of the house to ensure covering all sources of water and installed and set up the app to be informed if there is a leak, so far so good! The whole setup is very easy to unpack and install, and the accompanying app is pretty straightforward to connect and keep track of the detectors. What I like most about the detectors is that they seem to maintain a strong signal even in the garage. I put a detector in the garage to monitor flooding and the connection is really reliable in spite of being far from the station. All in all very happy with this and would definitely recommend it.

Excellent detectors that fit in the X-Sense ecosystem
This pack consists of four water detectors and one base station. The detectors have contacts on both top and bottom so as well as being able to alert on water on the surface they are sitting on, they can also detect falling water from above. We have previously had leaks in the loft, now fixed, but it's reassuring that we know about it if they reoccur as otherwise damage could happen before being aware. Similarly a serious leak in the workshop also caused problems a couple of years ago, these will give an early alert should it happen again. With the base station in the house the sensors can still report back across the length of the garden. The units are very well built. The base station is based on an ESP32 microcontroller which connects to 2.4Ghz wifi for its network and Internet connection. The detectors are simpler which connect over a different frequency, I suspect 868Mhz or similar, which means you need the base station for them to connect to. Once you have a base station you can purchase other X-Sense detectors that can connect to the same unit. The detectors are powered by two AAA batteries (supplied, replaceable) and the base station is powered by USB cable. A USB power supply is needed for this though a cable is provided. The app is well designed with a simple account registration process and setup. It's a shame that at present you cannot alert on the local network without an Internet connection which means any remote alerts are dependent on the X-Sense servers. It would be nice if local functionality were added in future for e.g. direct connection to Home Assistant or other local monitoring systems. For the time being, though, the X-Sense system is one of the best that I have seen.

Really useful for anyone concerned with flooding or water ingress
I regularly have water ingress into my garage and being able to be informed of this as soon as possible is really something of great use for me.You are supplied with a base station and four sensors.I installed the app using the qr code on the instructions and box and added the base station and easily connected it to my wifi. It required a firmware update and this was carried out swiftly. You are supplied with four sensors but the base station can accept up to fifty sensors. The app also has a ability for fire detectors, co2 sensors and security etc.On each sensor there are four metal pieces that detect water and two on the top of the sensor. The sensors take AAA batteries and each already supplied with them, changing them is easy enough but you must following the instructions. The base unit is powered by a usb c cable and is also supplied with a power adapter and cable for it.I tested the sensors and they work really well, sensor only a small amount of water and therefore giving as much time as possible to relocate any items or resolve the flooding problem.Im really impressed by what these can do. The base station sounds an alarm when water is sensed and you also get a notification on your phone. The base station volume can be altered and you can choose from three different alarm sounds. If this is something you require then I can recommend these units.
