TWO films to remove (have to or you fight curls); super simple cleanup
PROs:- Clean up is super simpleCONs:- Poor packaging. Needs to be in a 3’ cardboard tube.- Two different “protective films” used with one side looking like it wasn’t there but it was and was responsible for the curling on the stencil.- Not ideal for a paint rollerOVERALL:The package received was not the shape I expected. I was fully expecting a tube with this stencil rolled up and it was definitely not. Not sure why someone thought it was a good idea to fold the stencil multiple times. Between having to fight rolled areas, creases, etc., you’ll likely need to do some work before you can use this stencil straight out of the box. I initially rolled it the opposite way of the folds and then took a hairdryer to heat the creases and curls to try and get this thing straightened out. All I can say is definitely not happy with the packaging as the present packaging method alters the product. I took some initial pictures from above, 45°, 15°, and 0° so the curls and folds are clearly seen. I tried for several days laying it out and putting some weight on it to try and flatten out the curls with no success. I figured lastly, I’d go ahead and peel off the film. On one side the film is like a saranwrap film. The other side didn’t look like it had any film on it but the other side sure did. It is a tight protective layer and I think what happened is the film wasn’t flatly/evenly put on and it caused some shrinkage pulling on the stencil causing the curl. Because once I had that fil layer removed, the curls were no longer present. I saw on some other reviews talking about the curls and I wonder if they realized the protective film almost looks like it isn’t on the stencil and that was the root of some of their problems. Why the manufacturer used two different “protective films” for each side is unknown to me.So after all that prep work on the product and after prepping the area, I could finally get to using the stencil. This is most ideally used with a light pressure sprayer but I was using a roller. Unless you are dealing with an absolutely flat surface you are going to have some bleeding and some edge imperfections. It was nothing extremely severe as long as you are cautiously rolling in a direction on the stencil that is not going to flip on you. For instance, the arm; you would roll from the right side toward the left so that the arm wouldn’t flip over if you tried to go from left to right. As long as you are cautious though, things should be fine. Afterward, cleanup was a breeze. The dried paint almost flaked off of the stencil and the rest was easily removed. A heavier-weight stencil would likely have helped ensure no flipping but if you are working with slightly uneven surfaces, this silicone stencil helps to form a little better.

Not happy
item shipped folded, creases never came out. Should be shipped in a roll tube. Stiff material not flexible or heavy enough to lay flat. Stencil will not lay flat even with weights all over it. Tried paint with roller and had terrible results. Tried foam roller still problems. Tried spray and worked better with weights all around; still bled under. Terrible product.
