The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful coppery-gold cat eye with a mauve base color. The background is a little transparent, which is not unexpected for cat eye colors, so I used a separate mauve color underneath to match the background, and I ended up with a beautiful color combination that worked perfectly. The gel is a medium-thin consistency that is so easy to work with and apply.As far as the magnetic cat eye aspect goes, it’s pretty responsive to the magnets I have. I’m still figuring out how to make cat eye gels function the way I want them to in general (more of a me problem than anything else), but this one isn’t any more difficult than the other brands I have.The magnet it comes with does work, but I prefer a rectangular magnet, so I used one I already had.Overall, gorgeous cat eye color that I will absolutely be using frequently.

Note: in my photos/video, my middle three fingers have colored bases under one coat of this product just to test the effect. I wanted to experiment with different bases because this is shear. Levels well, can apply in different thicknesses and get different results. Great value for money.

The media could not be loaded. I got a very pretty result for the first time trying this kind of gel, but it’s dependent on how patient you are. Here are my tips:-like any gel color, foundation needs to be near perfect. And this is sheer, so it’s even more important that the base is smooth and even.-multiple layers need to be very thin, even if it looks like you won’t get any pigment showing with the first and second coats. Eventually the color will build up and look much better than one thick coat.-on each coat, make sure that you apply brush strokes very intentionally straight along the nail bed, as the brush strokes are going to be visible in the end result.-each coat needs the magnet. Line the magnet up wherever you’d like the pattern to go on the first coat, and then each subsequent coat you just line it up again on top of the placement of the previous coat’s pattern. It’s actually really satisfying seeing the patterns line up and become progressively more vibrant with each coat.-obviously cuticle prep and top coat are necessary too.Really pretty product even if it’s tricky. And great price. I’m sure I’ll be staring at my nails a lot for the next couple weeks.

Doesn’t match the photo at all. Other than that, it’s perfect! I’ll just make sure to read reviews because I was pretty bummed when this color came out way darker and more fall like when summer is starting. I used gel x. It’s the brown/gold. Pretty regardless.

I bought the purple brown and it was pretty. I read some of the reviews about purple brown and some people were claiming it doesn’t look purple at all. After I first put it on I thought the same thing. But if you go into the sunlight it will show. I mainly bought it cause I can’t wear colors of the rainbow on my nails at work, just natural skin color tones (boring). So I bought this brown purple and it works out. It’s brown inside and the purple comes out when you’re in the sun.

Looks beautiful when applied. The formula is a true gel consistency and with the long brush handle goes on the nail easily. I used two coats. If you’re doing it on yourself, just be careful picking up the magnet for the first time, the effect is immediate! So far the polish survived a coating of bike grease on my fingernails so I hope I can make it through the week without any chips.

The polish is a darker more muted purple than shown in the image, but has a pretty shine, and the cat eye effect works well.
