I originally got this because supposedly is supposed to help with stomach upset. So I wanted to have a bottle of it in the house so that we could make sodas really quick if somebody hasn't upset stomach. I also have their Ginger flavored one. Which I will drink as a soda. I actually prefer it to the store bought Ginger ale.But this is for the cola. My husband used to live on coca-cola. And over the years I was able to get him to cut down on that considerably because of the amount of sugar. But he's still enjoys the occasional coke. Normally the off-brand, as we have had to cut expenses quite a bit over the years as we have added children to our household LOL. So we don't generally buy the Coca-Cola brand.He likes this as much or more than the Coca-Cola brands. We have also tried the slushy kind in the gallon jug. He says this is definitely better. I'm not a huge Coke drinker but I have tasted them side by side just to see because he was trying them and asked me to. And I definitely prefer the flavor of this little bottle even though it's a lot more expensive. If I'm going to have a coke. I would definitely prefer this over a store-bought Coke. And I like that it really comes from natural sources. So it is better for you and it's supposed to help with your upset stomach. I can't attest to that yet because nobody has had a stomach bug or anything for us to use this yet and he already drank the entire bottle, and this is our second order that I'm reviewing now. So we will see. If we end up with a stomach bug and this helps someone's stomach I'll come back and update the review.

The old fashioned root beer flavor is the best.

Making homemade rootbeer with a sodastream. It’s been an experiment but good!

I was very much hoping I would love this syrup. I would love it except that I’m getting a substantial clove flavor. And though I agree the clove flavor should be part of it, to my taste it should be in the background—not the dominant flavor. That’s how I’m experiencing this syrup. It’s just not my cup of tea, or should I say cola. If you love clove, you’ll love this. I won’t order it again, but I will probably investigate their other flavors.

Taste is good, but it's very expensive. I guess it's healthier for you than the other items for sale that are syrups, but you're gonna pay the price trying to be healthy

People are reviewing & writing it doesn’t taste like root beer. Well I think it does, as REAL root beer was once made with these or similar ingredients, not artificial flavor from chemicals. I have found one brand of natural root beer in my local store and their ingredients are similar to those here. It has no “bite” to it, you can taste the herbs etc. We mix about 1 tbsp . to an 8 ounce glass of plain carbonated water, to get the root beer taste, not a glass of root beer. This stuff is expensive if you are trying to make a glass of root beer but for some added flavor it’s great. Edited: bottles I received do not taste like previous purchases of the same product. There seems to be a strange chemical taste to it now. Both bottles were well packaged, not damaged and had a secure band around the bottle caps. However the first bottle I opened, had a “plug” of hardened sugar blocking the top. Bottles are dated good until 12/25.

The flavor of the product is standard root beer. I purchased bc i was looking for a natural flavoring but found this “Natural Vanilla Flavor” on the bottle .Amazon has this product listed as prime? Prime means free shipping and returns. Since I’ve ordered the product I ordered a few different flavors and it’s a little too sweet and too high in sugar per serving for me but YES you will get that root beer taste.That being said I don’t want to keep the second bottle or the other flavors I ordered.These are UNOPENED?! And sealed with a tamper period seal?! I’m not sure why returns aren’t accepted especially since if you order through their website they will take returns after 30 days and the product is cheaper?It’s a very cheap way to make a sale bc the product is “forced” on you after buying it.So unless you think you will like this or have the money to throw away if you don’t I wouldn’t recommend ordering.

This is my new favorite thing to drink. Add 2 tablespoons to some sparkling water and voila, you have a medicinal powerhouse! Love the ingredients, love this stuff!!!
