great upgrade loaded with features
I recently had the chance to try out the Sofirn IF23 Pro flashlight. I currently have many of their lights and even have the IF23. and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed with this upgraded version. As a flashlight enthusiast, I’ve tested many models, and this one definitely stands out for a few reasons.Build Quality: All mid and high model Sofin lights are built well. The Sofirn IF23 Pro is solidly built. It has an IPX8 waterproof rating, so I’m confident it’ll hold up in various weather conditions. We get a lot of snow, rain and large temperature swings so IPX8 is required for me.Performance: When it comes to light output, this flashlight really shines. The IF23 Pro boasts a maximum output of 5,000 lumens, which is more than enough for everyday use and even some outdoor activities like camping or hiking. I was pleasantly surprised by how bright the beam is, with a long throw that can reach impressive distances, especially on higher settings. The side light is great for area lighting and the RGB is fun and can be used as a signaling light as well. It's the side light that I use the most. It is a great area light for working.Battery Life: The IF23 Pro uses a 21700 battery, which provides great runtime. In lower modes, the flashlight can last a good amount of time, but even on the highest settings, the battery holds up better than expected. USB-C, charging is always a plus and the flashlight has a handy indicator to show the battery’s charge status. It’s nice not to have to deal with replacing batteries all the time. The Best feature to me: The greatest Feature to me is the reverse charging. I like having an item that has multiple functions in cases of emergency or storage space restrictions. Having two different lights, front and side with multiple modes and being able to charge my phone make this my number one pick for an emergency power outage light and vehicle light.Pros:Excellent light output with up to 5,000 lumensCompact, durable, and water-resistant designUSB-C charging for convenience, reverse charging to power devicesMultiple lighting sources front and side and RGB options for signalingCons:A bit of heat build-up when running on Turbo mode for a longer period (though it’s manageable), not an issue in cooler climates.

Lots of variety in an easy to use package.
Wow, is all I can say. This light really has it all, I own alot of flashlights and this is the 1st one I've had of this nature.I have over 20 different Sofirns and this one is the most capable yet. This IF23 Can do just about everything a large light can do but in compact form. The main light has an impressive 5000 lumens and can light up a whole football fields worth. the main light is a cool white, I am assuming they went this route due to being able to get more power from the led. The side light is less powerful but even more flexible and is a flood type light, meaning it only lights the immediate surroundings. It also has the option of being able to switch the temp of the light from warm white, neutral, and cold white, depending on what you need. The side lights also come with fun features like rainbow and strobe like party modes. It didnt take long at all to learn how to use the rotary dial to control the different modes and features and it feels smooth and not clunky at all. the lockout mode is especially important, due to it having high power capability so you dont run into any potential hazards. having a sublumen low mode is definitely a big plus for me for camping bathroom trips at night so it doesnt ruin you night vision or wake up surrounding campers.the USB c is also super important for me to have to be capable to charge on the go and not have to load around a clunky battery charger with you, all you need is a charge cord and a port. And last but not least in any sorts, the magnetic tailcap, this feature make the light even more versatile to be able to bring it to work with you either it be plumbing, car work, finding that rat in the attic, THIS IS YOUR LIGHT!!!

It's a great light.
I really like this Sofirn IF23 Pro. Let me tell you it feels solid in my hand. It’s not a tiny thing. It is about 32 mm thick and about 133 mm long. It might be a bit big for my pants pocket unless they aren’t too tight but I will love carrying it in my coat pocket or clip on to my pack. The clip feels good and sturdy and can only be mounted in one position which is fine. In the box it comes with a charging cable, extra O-rings , a black lanyard and the user manual. The rotary switch is something I have not seen on a light I have purchased up until now. It’s easy to use with definite clicks when it’s move to the next position. It’s also well marked with the positions being locked position, flashlight , white side light , RGB (red green blue) side light position. It has a mark to show the orientation of the 5000 mah 21700 battery in the light. It uses USB-C charging and has a water resistance rating of IP66. The magnetic tail cap has some knurling making it easy to remove and install and a hole for the lanyard. It’s interesting that the tail cap screws inside of the light’s body instead of OVER the body like a lot of lights. The way it operates and switch position.* Locked position- when switch is depressed and held the light only comes on in the eco/moon mode which is 5 lumens (350 hours run time) and only when the switch is pressed . When you release it the light goes out. Good for when you have it in a pocket or pack.* Flashlight position-when switch is pressed it cycles through the modes, low (100 lumens/30 hours),medium (550 lumens/6 hours) , high (1300 lumens/3 hours.Double click in this position will bring you into turbo (5000 lumens/ 42 minutes). There is also strobe(5000 lumens), SOS (550 lumens), and beacon (5000 lumens) My favorite. In the manual there are no run times given for strobe , SOS, and beacon.* White Sidelight positionPretty much the same levels can be achieved as with the flashlight position EXCEPT you can ramp the sidelight making it brighter or dimmer by holding the switch. You can do this with the flashlight too if you prefer to ramp the brightness instead of the stepped modes. Something I like about this position is using the white side light and the magnetic tail cap to light up an area while performing a task. I stuck it on my range hood over my stove to see how it would be working in the kitchen during a power outage. I can envision sticking it on to the side of my car while changing a flat or under the hood while giving a jump start, checking the oil , etc. It will be great.* Color side light positionYou can press and hold for the stepless color adjustment and go through the various red/green/blue hues. There’s police flash, rainbow, and several other modes that you can get it to do. It’s a regular light show and is not hard to figure out and is pretty cool. READ THE MANUAL!!All in all I think it’s a very cool light that I will find more ways to use it the longer I own it. It will be great when I walk the dogs!
