Cressi Adult Gamma Snorkel (Made in Italy)

I'd already bought this item for my friend so decided to get a mask and pipe for myself, good reliable name, good quality, successful snorkels in Cornwall without leakage, easy to fit unlike the full face mask, well worth the cost and effort . Thanks very much.

Works for me in the pool, but had to take the plastic cap off the top as I can’t get enough blow to clear the valve. So put finger in the top and gently blow and all water is pushed out. As I am in a pool it is not so wavy but I think the cap probably works in the sea. The cap twists off quite easily.

So much better than a normal snorkel. Only got water in my snokel twice in a day of pretty extreme snorkelling.

Item purchased in December to replace my wife's damaged snorkel. Bought as a Christmas present and then to be used on holiday in the February. Whilst snorkelling on the first day she had trouble from the start. The snorkel constantly filled with water before she could inhale and then exhale forcing the water out. The whole process was very tiring which could have proved very dangerous to the user. On return from holiday I did a simple test of the snorkel by using a bowl of water and found to my horror that the mouthpiece, (submerged in the bowl), quickly filled with water and that the simple act of breathing would have meant ingesting water before a breath could be taken. Before you ask, no the end of the tube remained clear of water and therefore did not let the water in. The mouthpiece was obviously at fault and could have proved fatal. Out of return time, hence review to warn and or advise others. One star is the least I could apply to this product. BEWARE you have been WARNED!

I did not realise that it had a valve on the bottom, which I do not like. Also, it kept 'popping' out of the mask strap clip

Compact with neat and comfortable fit and very easy to clear any resudual water
