3 stars because the exhaust port faces the direction you are vacuuming which blowes what you're trying to vacuum away from you.the leaf blower works great, the vac has great suction all other aspects are good.

Good Vac and versatile but doesn't excel at any given thing
This is a great tool as an all in 1 type of unit however it really doesn't any excel at either a Vac or a blower.It is definitely sufficient for both tasks and if space is a concern and you like the "All in One" types of tools then this is a great fit for you.Honestly my biggest complaint is the short cord to plug it in. Every vac I've had in the past has had 15' or more. This is like 10' long and inevitably requires you to use an extension cord even as just a Vacuum. Let alone the blower function.The vacuum side works sufficiently and I used the included filters to start with. If you're vacuuming up fine materials like fine saw dust, sheet rock dust, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend getting a HEPA filter for this thing. I've a LOT of fine dust blasting right out the exhaust when sucking up that type of material with the stock filters in this. I'd also recommend using a Vac bag inside this if you're working with fine dry materials a lot. They help significantly with air born dust and also with containment and filter life as well.The blower side is not as strong as my regular leaf blower by any means but it's definitely sufficient and does just what I wanted it to do. I do wood work in my garage and my favorite way to clean up is to Put a respirator, open the door, and blow the dust outside. This blower is perfect for that!overall I'm happy enough with this unit and it means I can leave my other vac as a dedicated unit for my saw.
