Easy to set-up, great for beginners
I don’t know anything about 3D printing/technology. I felt very overwhelmed with the spectrum of products on the market. I wanted something that was plug and play because I wasn’t confident in being able to support my son with his projects. After researching several styles and price points, I landed on this model. I am so happy with this purchase. Set up was simple, the app is very user friendly, the quality was exactly what I expected, and it’s a very sturdy device. The company took a lot of care packaging this for shipping and I appreciate the effort and considerations taken to make sure you didn’t receive a damaged product. The only hiccup I had was making sure I added the “toy food” correctly but it was easily problem solved. They have a few youtube tutorials to help.I’m looking forward to seeing what this can do!

NOT READY FOR REAL KID USE
This is a gimmick. Basically, you have pre-selected 3D designs to choose from. All sort of lame and boring. Then, Toybox, wants you to pay for the better designs! My kid wanted to download an acceptable format design but the app refuses to print two different designs. Customer service acknowledges that it is a correct file type BUT it ends there. No designs, no fix.So, if your inclined to blow $300 plus on what is basically a closed system of boring designs, pay more and prob often for better designs, then this lame printer is for you. Oh, and forget using designs off the web bc the app and customer service magically don't know why it won't work. The magic part is they just push you to the lame app designs that print out no bigger than a keychain.I have two choices. Watch this collect dust like my blu-ray player or return this junk fast. Waiting till my kid finds a real 3d printer.7/31/23 UPDATE: Customer service seems to want to be helpful however they are just not making the cut. They keep trying basic protocols and are not listening to the details of the issue. WHAT THE EF DO I DO WITH THIS?!?!?! A phone call would solve this I suspect but they wont even call me so now I am stuck going back and forth in mass confusion. How are they getting away with this?

Best 3D starter printer for the whole family!
We purchased this 3D printer for Christmas this year and we absolutely love it! I highly recommend this printer, you’re not going to find a better one and the price is low for the quality of this printer. We have printed several different fidget toys, cars, Lego people… we’ve had a few hiccups but it’s so easy to cancel and restart. I suggest keeping an eye on it like you would with any 3D printer so you’re able to cancel it if there’s a hiccup but you don’t have to. The printer has disconnected from the WiFi a couple times after printing, I’m not sure if it’s the printer or an issue with the WiFi but the printer reconnects and it hasn’t caused any issues. If you’re looking for a 3D printer the entire family can use & enjoy, this is definitely the printer for you!

You really can’t go wrong with this one
This was our first 3D printer and I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. I simply wanted to try something like this with my engineering minded 12 year old. I did a lot of research and read lots of reviews and decided to just go for it. I really couldn’t be happier. TOYBOX is so easy to use and we haven’t had any problems really. When we had any concerns they were quickly remedied through the support articles. Prints great! Print size is perfect and not limiting at all. Having a community of projects so well integrated was a fun way to explore the possibilities. Having a way to import our own models gives us all that we could ever need. Thanks for creating such a great product!

Excellent
We have had our machine for over a year now and it was a gateway tool into even more 3d printers and creativity. I absolutely love this thing and my kids love it too.A few things to know about ANY 3d printer, calibration is key. Youll have to calibrate this machine and you may need to adjust the extruder. There are lots of helpful videos on YouTube to walk you through it and there’s even a Facebook group to help you tooThis machine does not have a heated bed, which means sometimes prints can be subject to drafts in the room. To prevent this some people place a box over the printer to keep the print from cooling too quickly. This will help with adhesion on your prints.Don’t expect this to do HUGE projects but it’s great for small things here and there, especially when you need something in a pinch. We use this for things like valentines gifts at school or treasure box items for our sons. I also really love the app and the licensed toys you can make.Overall I am still incredibly happy with this purchase. It is one of my very favorite things and I’m so glad we got it

Sad Christmas
The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying this was my 9 year old son’s number one Christmas request this year. So you can imagine we had high expectations. This 3D printer is ok for small quick builds that you are going to supervise. Unfortunately it has not produced one large item correctly so far. And by large I mean a 3+ hour build. We tried a sword design that we had to start over several times. The last time after 2 hours of building I finally realized why it was not working. The printer food spools are not spun correctly! The green “mint” spool we received had portions that were not correctly spun and the printed food would get caught on itself and misfeed. This resulted in a huge waste of printer food and time. What sold my son on this 3D printer was it’s ease of use. So far it has not been easy or worth it. If all it can successfully produce are tiny fidget toys I would say skip this for 300+ dollars. It was such a huge disappointment!
