Super handy!
I bought this so I could plug a ceiling mounted projector into my track lighting - easy to install and does exactly what I need (though, keep in mind that if your lights aren't on, the plug won't receive any power).

Works great
Great product, allows me to plug in a string of Christmas lights to my Trac lghting. I had to wiggle the adapter a bit before it would rotate inro the track, but it does the trick nicely now that it's installed.

JUST what I was looking for.
NOT UL listed!Great value.Solid construction.Super easy to install.Fits tightly into track.Inconspicuous appearance.Fits H-track!!!!Do NOT use to plug in ANY high-draw equipment.(I used to add a near-distant LED light.)If you do not understand what I am saying, do NOT buy and use.

It is not okay! Think carefully before you buy this.
It is rare item to find these days. So I ordered it even though I wanted white instead of black. The installation is easy, just plug in to the track. Then I plugged in the lamp ac plug to it. It barely holds the AC plug upside down position. I found out that the brass electrical contact inside this adaptor is only one plate, not pressing from both. All AC receptacles have spring loaded two brass metal plates such that the incoming AC plug blade is held by two brass plates by friction and pressure from both sides. This one has only one side brass which means the incoming AC plug blade is held by one brass plate and the Bakelite body (wall). So the holding pressure of plug is not enough to hold AC plug and wire that hangs from it in secure position. Besides the electrical contact is made only by half surface contact which may cause heat up when high current is flowing. Fortunately this lamp is not that high watt lamp. This is not a secure, safe, track-to-AC converter. I would not buy it.

Great for "H" Tracks - too bad I didn't realize I had a "J" track
This is a solid product that adds a 3-prong outlet to your track lighting. It also has a nice feature that allows you to choose between the two circuits. Would have been a great feature for me if I had an "H" track instead of a "J" track. If you're not sure just do a quick Google on the track types and verify what you have first or you can go here[...] for a quick intro to the three types.Soooo,as I mentioned previously, I have a "J" track. However, I also have Dremel Tool with a cut-off blade. I took off the top "bump" with my Dremel and it now works perfectly in my "J" track. The reason I said before that this was a solid product is because it not only stood up to my Dremel but has been working like a champ since. It's really well made.I gave this product five stars because it's perfect for what it is, not for what I thought it should be or what I had to do to make it what I wanted. I'm not suggesting that you buy this product for your "J" track but if you do indeed have an "H" track this product should work great for you right out of the box. Unbox, twist and click and you'll be ready to roll !!

Bought these as I needed power for my extra track light and fan. Works great.

Loose fit on WAC H-track
The adapter is an extremely loose fit on a WAC H-track. Plugging anything in requires that you wiggle it around until it makes contact with the power supply on the track. Once contact is made, even the slightest movement of the cord will cause a disconnect and back up the ladder you climb for more wiggling. Unfortunately I waited until after the return period to install, so it’s going straight into the garbage can instead.
