Very good light! So easy to put it together and my plants seem to like it. The light is very tall though, i am 1.70cm and this light is much taller than me!Also very modern looking and i like the timer . So i would say worth the money

This lamp comes in quite a small box - and I was wondering how it would be able to get to the claimed 75 inches (190cm).It turns out that the stand is made out of 16.5 inch (42cm) threaded poles - allowing you to have any variant of height that fits the 42cm step.The light bulb has a removable plug, to allow the supporting stand to be lengthened / shortened easily.The base of the unit is weighted and screws into the base pole.The switch has a 4/8/12H cycle timer system. 4/8/12H on, 20/16/12H off.This means you only need to set the timing once and the grow light with stand will automatically cycle on and off time on time every day. The light is very bright - but manufacturer states that it only uses 20W.The bulb can be angled at any angle you require, adding to the flexibility.There is no remote control for this light - only the in-cable switch.It is a nice looking unit and could be used as an uplighter in the home, or a powerful table light if required.There is no way to adjust the brightness or the colour of the bulb.AT £59.99 (there is a 5% voucher at the time of review), this seems a little overpriced for what it offers, but it is a nice light.

I stumbled upon this and got it as a present for someone, then bought one for myself. I love that it looks stylish and makes the plant set up look intentional and fit the style of the room it is in, rather than standard plant lights that come on a tripod and look quite industrial. The base of the unit is a weighted and circle shaped which takes up less space. I think it is a bit pricey but I would like to see more lights being offered in this type of style and at different heights and even with a few more lights on the floor stand.

We have a couple of citrus lemon plants that have been suffering and this light has sorted them out and brought them back to health. I'm always a bit sceptical with things like this as to if their output is what is stated and as I had no way of testing I decided just to use the light and see the results. After a month of use I can happily say that the plants are doing well and this is definitely down to the lamp. The modern look is a bonus so all in all I'm very happy with it.

The description on this lamp is accurate - it is really tall, if you use all the pole sections it is well over 6ft tall but very slender, with a heavy base that keeps it stable. Assembly was quick and easy, just screwing the components together and joining the clip of the cable before attaching the lamp head.The shape of the lamp head gives the light a slightly "spotlight" effect and you will need to adjust the angle, and possibly the height, to suit your chosen plant/location. It's great for illuminating mid-size plants on a table or taller stand, where I have struggled in the past to get adequate light in the winter. It casts a pool of light which could be used to uplight or provide side light instead - it is quite versatile. The control is simple and intuitive, giving a simple way to set a timer for up to 12 hours of light at a time.The style is minimalist and modern, and low-key enough to blend into the background if you place it in a corner or against strong patterns or colours. We will see how the plants enjoy the extra light this winter.

This very tall lamp arrived neatly packaged in a small box. Therefore, the lamp first needs to be assembled. It is a good job that it is reasonably clear how the lamp should be assembled, and the instructions do help, however, the instructions are not great, lacking some detail. I ended up with what is dreaded by all who try self-assembly tasks; some bits left over. There were 6 black silicone pieces, which I assumed were just to protect the threads of the parts of the pole to be screwed together so could be discarded. More worryingly, though, was a silver metal piece that I did not know what it was. After I had slept on it, I thought that it might go on the pole near the top to allow the lamp to be screwed on without twisting the electrical wire, so avoiding putting strain on the plastic connector. However, it did not go there. So, I am still mystified. The lamp itself works very well and does just what it is supposed to do. We have it in our lounge, providing light for a Peace Lilly, but also serving as a useful reading light.
