Q: Are these double-walled?

No, the walls are thick and it actually takes 10-15 seconds for you to feel cold when you pour something ice cold into them but they are not doubled walled.

Q: Does the bottom (underneath) of the Caliber line of glasses look similar to the bottom of the Elite line of glasses?

The base of the Caliber collection glasses are more the look of a traditional pint glass except on the outside of the base there are 4 channels or scallops cut out to facilitate water runoff as well as air flow while stacked. The Caliber collection doesn't have the fancy looking dimples in the base like the Elite collection does.

Q: Does sunscreen contact cause a cloudy smudge that would remain after dishwashing?

I don’t use sunscreen & don’t have a dishwasher. So my glasses still look like new.

Q: Are these flat on the bottom so they don't collect water in the dishwasher?

They are not flat on the bottom, but there is a channel that goes to the edge so the water drips out - it is in a cross formation on the bottom. I haven't had much of an issue with water collecting in them while in the dishwasher except perhaps just a tiny bit.
