Awesome butterflies
I buy these every year for my daughter’s birthday. She really loves watching them grow and transform. They grow fast! They grow and metamorphose in about three weeks. We usually keep them for about a week. I feed them fresh cut oranges and strawberries. We are just about to release the butterflies in our garden.

Disappointed with the quality
I have ordered from this company for many years with no problems, but not this time. I ordered several cups of caterpillars for all of the classes in my grade level. Some cups came with 2 caterpillars. The product description states that 5 caterpillars will be included. Some cups came with 4-6, but at least two caterpillars were dead. I opened the package as soon as it arrived as instructed. The cups didn’t come with the cloth on top of the cup. I usually hang the cloth on the net as I don’t have the plastic log holder. I’m very disappointed with the quality of this product this time.

Awesome experience!
This came in a timely manner and following the steps, had gorgeous butterflies to free in the yard. Highly recommend for every child to experience.

Fingers Crossed
Only see 4 caterpillars and 2 are tiny and not moving! Hoping the 2 caterpillars that look good will continue the life cycle for my students to see.

Amazing!!
All of them came alive and thriving! I think I enjoy them more than my kids 🤣. But everyone is having a great time learning about the life cycle! I can’t wait to try the lady bugs!!

Fun and easy science activity
I’ve been buying these caterpillars and ladybug larva from Insect Lore for years. First I got them for my classroom and my own kids and now for my grandkids. It’s an easy and fun way to observe life cycles in nature.

Arrived dead
I’ve been ordering these for a few years and most of the time there are no casualties. This time 8 of the ten were dead. It was a nice day, not cold. They didn’t sit out. I couldn’t do a return without “returning” the dead ones. I sent these to my granddaughter, I’m not going to ask her to return them. Disappointing end to our little tradition.
