The grip is perfect and the control and ease of the paddle is everything a beginner needs. The bag is a simple design and functions well as a sling over the shoulder. These paddles are pretty good for the price. They seem pretty durable, offer good control, and have a nice design. This is a great paddle for beginning and intermediate players.

It’s awesome for beginners with great grip and affordability! I started playing pickleball this summer and bought this set and am quite satisfied with its quality and durability.The handles have great grip when your hands get sweaty and the surface area gives you good range to hit the balls. They are light, colorful designs and the set comes with a nice sling bag and four indoor balls.

After some research, these paddles seemed perfect for us as beginners with an intention to start with good mid-range paddles. These have a wide sweet spot which adds to our newbie ability to control the hit without expert placement of paddle contact with the ball. The Carbon-fiber surface gives nice control when contacting the ball and we were even able to play around with spin, both intentionally and unintentionally. The 16mm width allows us to hit the ball with no weird vibrations and get a good solid pop. For us there was plenty of power, since that's not a beginners game for us. The regular sized handle was also great since we are not attempting two-handed backhand power shots. The carrying case was great and we like the all-purpose balls which we used on an outside court. I used regular 3M electrical tape to add a layer of protection along the rim, which blended in seamlessly and worked to some extent as long as we are not crashing the paddle into the ground attempting to scoop a low hit. Great choice for us. highly recommended

These are great pickleball paddles and balls. I love the carrying bag. It is very convenient. The paddles are good quality and work well. I've used them for several months and they have held up well. I would recommend this as a beginner or intermediate set. My whole family plays together.

I really enjoy these paddles. My wife and I are new to the sport so we didn't want to spend too much on our first paddles. I have been playing a lot and am hooked like many other pickleballers out there. What a fun sport eh?! This set of paddles and carry bag are very nice. I did add grip tape to mine, no fault to Selkirk just my overly sweaty hands while trying to beat 70 year old ladies on the court. Those girls are good and take no mercy. This family owned company has got it figured out and we plan on continuing to support them from now on. Buy a Selkirk, you won't be disappointed.

I purchased these on Prime Day after a little research online, wanting an OK kit but nothing crazy.These are now relegated to friends, but are a great choice for starters.Pros:-Play decent, as a newer player these are way better than wood, but you probably won't need much more than this- includes a bag which is OK quality- design is nice, grips are comfortable- great as spares for friends when you graduate to better paddles- good way to try pickleball without spending a fortune and deciding you don't enjoy itCons:- Bag is OK, eventually you will want to replace- The balls are junk- Once you have played for a few months and try a nicer paddle, you will no longer use themI would recommend these to beginners looking for a set to get started, or players that want spares they won't get upset when they get scraped the ground.
