Poor User Interface, But Dependable Music
I ordered this MP3 player for maybe one of the silliest reasons. I like to listen to music while running, but I also run with my almost 2-year-old in a stroller, who gets bored after 45 minutes or so. I'm desperate situations, I have to surrender my phone to her, to keep her happy. The unfortunate part about surrendering my phone is, I no longer have access to my music. I ordered this to fix that problem. This is definitely a no frills Bluetooth MP3 player. It reminds me of my old iPad from back in the early 2000s. The user interfaced is not great. Your best option is really to pick an album and just play it, or just play the tracks at random. Trying to navigate through the menus to find a single song, is just time consuming, and tedious. Besides the interface, the MP3 player works great. The sound quality is excellent. Plus, loading music onto the mp3 player using your computer is simple. It holds a ton of music, since it also comes with a SD card. Plus, it holds a charge for a very long time.Overall, I am happy with this MP3 player. It definitely doesn't have the user interface of Spotify or something similar, but if you're used to Old School MP3 players, it should feel pretty familiar to you. It's a good buy, and will keep your music flowing when you don't have connectivity or your phone handy.

Well constructed music player with limited user interface
I have spent a significant time using this music player and it works very well. The sound quality is great both via the 3.5mm headphone jack and Bluetooth to car, home D to A converter, or portable JBL flip 6 speaker. The Bluetooth partnered seemlessly in all cases. The music was always clear and noise free as expected. The unit seems most appropriate for playing a set of your music either in order or randomly based on one of the delimiters (folder, favorites, genre, album, artist, or all). I use it mainly on random but it is because there are no real search functions available to find something specific quickly apart from numerous enter button presses while navigating through a folder hierarchy. The player is very well made and has a high quality weight and feel. Charging is quick with the included cable and it is clearly a dedicated music player that is unencumbered by non essential applications typical of a phone. The included SD card provides generous space for thousands of recordings but navigating to a specific song may be a little frustrating depending on your specific folder organization. I like this dedicated player but feel the interface has room for improvement especially search, creating custom playlists, and general navigation.

User interface not useable
Just setting this unit to shuffle an entire folder is a major task...if it's even possible. This is so unintuitive as to render this product useless. Don't buy. You'll throw this in a drawer eventually.

Nice Sound, but...
The bottomline with this PECSU media player is that it puts out awesome sound, it has a nice build, it is light as far as weight, but the UI and interface of this is like something from fifteen or so years ago when the Zune player was still a thing.Normally, I wouldn't be nitpicky about the UI. However, if you have loads of tracks, navigating to a track or searching for music becomes very tedious. This works best if you have your playlists and tracks properly managed on your PC, before transferring them onto this device. Also, for some weird reason, you get hardware controls for some things, and not for other basic things. You get hardware controls for volume and back and forth, but not for play and pause. The screen and body also get smudged very easily.Again, great sound, but everything else feels undercooked.Note: This does display album art if you have it embedded with the albums and tracks.
