Great toy gun for a kid or adult
Bought and used by adult.Pros :-Lightest prime and trigger I've seen in a Nerf gun besides a Jolt, makes it easy to use one-handed as an adult and I have no doubt a child would be able to use it with no problem at all.-Solid build.-Relatively low power, makes it safer to use indoors casually compared to some of the more advanced offerings (still, use common sense and don't aim it at fragile things, like screens).-Handle size fits my adult hand nicely.-Relatively small and lightweight.-Barrelless mechanism looks like it may help prevent jamming problems long term.-The hammer prime is very cool to use and is sure to make anyone in touch with their inner child smile regardless of age, specially if you fan it.-The hammer prime makes for a nice fidget toy.-Nice to be able to get these brand new at Amazon while they're sold out at retail and scalped in other online store fronts.Cons :-Kinda expensive compared to similar offerings with equal or better performance and form factors, you're essentially paying extra for both the hammer gimmick and the rarity of the item itself.-While mine was new, it came in generic brown cardboard packaging (with Hasbro branding), not the classic retail one. Also, the paint application was very shoddy in several places, almost like it was a production line reject or something. Again, since these are exclusively produced for Amazon, both of these may be due to cost-saving measures, who knows. I didn't mind either that much (you could even argue the paint job adds to the "rugged" feel the design has going on) and neither would a kid for sure, but it's worth mentioning for collectors or other people that may care about such things, I also didn't see it mentioned on the description or other reviews.-You only get 5 darts, so if you lose one, you're already out of a full mag. Thankfully full length darts are inexpensive and easy to get even at your local stores, and they will likely perform just as good if not better than the stock ones.

Must have for trigun or bladerunner cosplay, cool for other reasons too
A great pistol and i would say as good as or better than other cylinder pistols, despite having a round less than the standard strongarm. Lets get style points out of the way, this thing looks great and the weight feels solid and reliable and those together make it a pleasure just to hold and look at. Shooting is strong and accurate, and the hammer pull is so fun. To my knowledge this is one of about 3 hammer action blasters so its a novel but still exceptionally functional priming mechanism. You can even fan the hammer as the gun supports slam fire, meaning if you hold down the trigger and fan the hammer the cylinder will cycle and fire very rapidly. overall a well designed and reliable dart gun and beautiful to boot plus its the same price as most other nerf elite pistols so all lose is one round of cylinder capacity in exchange for the freedom to fire your sidearm one handed, which to my mind is the point of a side arm, is well worth it. Tons of 3rd party mods exist for this and all trigger components are compatible with the lawbringer nerf rifle though the cylinder is not.On a personal side note this gun seems most to resemble the gun from bladerunner and likely could easily be modified cosmetically to mirror that gun more closely. That gun. It was actually also in fallout new vegas and was called "That Gun." There are so many options here for cosplay its not even funny.

Great Nerf gun at great price, best deal in whole lineup
This is a great toy for young teens and even adults around the house enjoy it plenty. Unlike most other nerf guns that have odd cocking mechanisms this one is quite natural and like a real revolver. It loads easy, it's 100% reliable unlike a Rev-5 Spectre I have sitting around (the Rev-5 misses a tick and jams if you barely bump the cylinder or cock it too hard/soft, have to baby the cylinder to keep it reliable) and it's more accurate. Good power though not as much as the Rev-5, you can feel it when this hits your skin and through a T-shirt still. If you hold up a paper towel this will punch a hole clean through it and keep flying at 10ft. There are no magazines to fumble around and lose, you just put in the darts and go. Sadly this only comes with 5 darts. The little one I bought this for lost a dart within 10 minutes and now runs around missing one in the gun, so buy spares. This will work with normal N-Strike Elite darts. Also, what kicks this into 5-star territory for sure is the price. Currently $12 on Amazon Prime or $15 at a local walmart, buy two of these and have one in each hand. Again, this isn't just for kids. As soon as someone drags one of these Hammershot's out us guys put up a blanket on the couch and shoot at the pattern spots as an impromptu gun range. Everyone needs one of these.

Great Blaster
The blaster is fantastic to use. It features a super cool hammer action priming system that can be used one-handed, which means you can dual-wield this blaster. However, I have to give this a 4-star review because unfortunately my blaster came with 3 of the darts all bent and out of shape so sadly I only have 2 working darts for this blaster.

Best NERF Gun
The Hammershot, and it's various reskins, are among the greatest NERF guns on the market. They shoot far and true, seldom jam, and *can be used one handed*. The hammer really does let you keep your aim and keep something else (might a recommend a second Hammershot) in your other hand while battling. I'd say "the kids love it" but somehow these keep ending up in my hands. :)
