This wall-mounted shower mixer is made from zinc alloy, with a nice chromed finish, brass connectors, and a central 1/2" BSP hose connector.It’s designed for use with 1/2” pipework, and is supplied with offset connectors, that need to be fixed securely in the wall, before tiling. The threaded portion of the connector, needs to be flush with the surface of the tile (with the offset concealed by the chrome-plated covers).Remember to insert the silicon washers, before connecting the mixer, wrap a piece of thick cloth around the coupling nuts to protect the chrome before tightening, and don’t overtighten.Operation is straightforward, with both flow and temperature controlled by the single handle.

comes well packaged and the chrome finish is nicely done. There is a lot of adjustment available as to the width between the input pipes so it should fit as a replacement for most existing external shower valves without any problems. Although not thermostatically controlled the manual temperature adjustment is smooth and linear so no unpleasant surprises. I have mounted it the other way up from the amazon illustration as this suits the position of the shower head better in my shower enclosure.The only downside was that fitting was not as easy as it should have been due to a tight tolerance on the adjustable connector . I had to sand down the exterior of one of the incoming water pipes a little to get it to fit easily. not a big deal but annoying.Overall you get a lot of shower valve for your money and it compares favourably with the more expensive ones.
