Adorable features, great detail in the sculpting
The media could not be loaded. This is a great statue. I'm a fan of the Monkey King, and this version is a younger depiciton of him. He looks like a juvenile. The statue is solid, and because he has a bigger head, it makes him a little top heavy. The staff is made of metal, so when you pick it up, it's heavier than you would expect. I think the features of the face are the best part. His smile looks like he's satisfied wtih himself, and his eyebrows look mischievous. And the tiny little nose is adorable. His hair looks almost like the flames of a fire. The gold surface has a texture that picks up light as you turn it. The very fine bumps and the reflectivity of the gold make it sparkle as light hits different parts. I hope you can see that deatil in the video.
