Excellent Powerpack
This is an excellent power-pack. Bought primarily for the 12-volt DC output, (so for me, the 5-volt USB output could be considered as something of a bonus, which may come in handy at some stage). The unit provides a significant and prolonged 12volt DC output when fully charged, giving many times the normal battery life of the standard internal batteries in the vintage GPS units for which it was bought.Build quality is perfectly adequate. - Not overly engineered, but definitely not flimsy!Note that in order to successfully charge the unit (via the supplied 13amp wall-plug style charger), the battery unit must be switched on. Charging will not take place if the unit itself is switched off!The instructions suggest a charge time of approximately 6-hours, but this is decidedly optimistic, and a full charge cycle (from almost empty) will take considerably longer!!! (Not a particular problem in my usage case).Note also that when the unit is correctly charging, the LED on the wall-plug charger will be lit red. - Upon completion of charging, that LED turns green. There are five very small green LED's on the actual unit itself, and some or all of these will be illuminated, depending on the state of charge. (When all five are lit, the unit will be almost fully charged). Those five LED's also show state of charge information when the unit is actually in use, providing power.Perhaps worth mentioning that during charging, the wall-plug charger gets quite hot, and maintains a level of "hotness" that was initially somewhat concerning. However, after having had several charge cycles, the hot temperature of the charger is now expected as the norm. (I would never leave it on charge somewhere unattended though - just in case!!!)All in all, a nicely functioning power-pack which does exactly what it says on the tin!

Long lasting
I have bought for my inflatable polar bear and it's working OK and I have used for 4h and still lots of power left on it.

Works well for Celestron telescope.
My battery powered telescope goes through AA batteries in minutes. I have a mains adapter which is great when at home. It is so easy to plug this battery in and off I go. I have not tested it out for longevity yet.

Very good but a few niggles
Does the job nicely, solid build and lasts on a charge a long time.Bought this to control telescope as it has both 12v and separate 5v via USB. I noted others bought this for same reason but some caution is needed operating a battery in damp conditions as they can become dangerous so I house mine in a lunch box with cut outs for the cables.Oddly and others found this to charge you need to have it powered on - which is odd and counter intuitive and I wonder how many returns they got on this weird design feature. The only way to know it is charged is via a red/green light on the supplied adapter which again is ridiculous that they did not just have a normal light on the battery itself to show when charged and not tie a person to use their 12 volt adapter ( I've dozens of these things around).Last niggle is that they supply a female to 2X male splitter cable which works but is untidy and went looking in the box for a male to male straight cable thinking it was missing only to read in the attached leaflet that this cable only comes with another model - so I had to order one separately. This is rather mean minded not to supply both as it would only cost another £1 to the cost! But overall a solid and safe battery let down a bit by design ( bespoke adapter) and marketing (one cable only).

Great piece of kit
I bought this battery to power my Zoom F8n. Doing an endurance test (one mic channel with P48, two line level channels, all three with dual track enabled, 48kHz @ 24bit polywav + LR to both cards, 40% LCD and 60% LED brightness auto dim enabled, main output enabled, sub output disabled), the recorder run for nearly 13 hours recording continously. One thing to note, I found the nominal voltage to be 11.6V instead of 12.6V, and the recorder shut down at 9.2V depletion (capture saved automatically before shutting down) so a min. of 9.4V is recommended.Brilliant value for money considering NP1 equivalents, amazing endurance despite not meeting spec exactly. Not terribly heavy. If on a budget, this is a fantastic piece of kit. And don't buy a cheaper USB smart battery as they require a USB handshake to establish a 12V delivery, which a straight Hirose-to-USB-powerlines connection won't do. Ask me how I know.Highly recommended.

It works - doesn’t last as long as hoped
I am using this cell to power a 12v 2A electric spinning wheel - Ashford eSpinner3.The battery pack works for around 2 hours before output drops significantly then becoming unusable at 2 ½ hours. I had hoped that it would last longer - closer to an expected 3 hours. Recharge times are ridiculously long.On the positive side…it works well and also has a USB outlet which can charge a phone etc. It can also deliver 12v during charging through the splitter cable, but obviously you need to be seated next to a plug socket to do this or carry an extension cable with you (I suppose that’s a negative). On the negative…the charge doesn’t last as long as I would have wanted it to and it takes 6 or 7 hours to recharge - which basically means over night. This makes the battery far less practical than hoped. You also need to understand three important points.1. The mains charger transformer has a red and a green light. It glows red when charging and green when the pack is fully charged. The pack itself has 5 LED lights but they don’t seem to correspond to the amount of charge in the battery pack. There are 5 LED’s and 3 seems to mean empty!2. The battery pack will only charge if it is switched on (what’s the point of this?). And (obviously) only deliver 12v when switched on. As the switch is a rocker-switch it can be switched on accidentally in a bag etc.3. The USB outlet only supplies 5v which is a bit disappointing.
