Excellent Book for Learning Large Language Models!
I have been reading this book by Professor Tanmoy Chakraborty for the past month, and it has been a great learning experience. The book explains the concepts of LLMs and Generative AI in a very clear and easy-to-understand way. It starts from the basics, like how computers understand language, and slowly moves on to more advanced topics, such as word embeddings and how LLMs like ChatGPT and DeepSeek are built and used. I really liked how Professor has used simple language, helpful examples, and diagrams to explain complex ideas. The book also talks about real-life applications of these models, which made it even more interesting and practical. Even if you are a beginner or someone with little knowledge of AI, this book is a great place to start. After spending a month reading it, I feel much more confident about these topics, and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about Generative AI and LLMs in a simple and effective way.

Exercises and Use Cases: With exercises at the end of chapters and real-world use cases from domains like healthcare, legal, and finance, the book provides an engaging, hands-on approach.4. Very useful book on LLM
I bought this book by mistake. Instead of a kindle version I ended up ordering a physical one... am glad I did that mistake as it turned out to be a good introduction to a wide array of topics in contemporary LLM world... I found it very useful in acquainting with the concepts that are at the core of LLM adaptation to specific tasks.... good job Tanmoy Chakraborty

Cuts through the hype and teaches LLM concepts using first principles
Very good book if you plan to apply llm based methods for your technical/business research topic. Takes a first principle hands-on approach and cuts through hype.If you an instructor, you can also design 3-4 credit LLM curriculum for your PG/MBA students using this as your textbook, as it is accompanied with lecture video, toy dataset, and working python codes, relevant to indian and global context. The author is a chaired asoc prof at IIT Delhi and leads their computational social science lab and advisory to GoI AI initiatives.
