Never bought one of these before and to be honest not sure I would again, it works really well, feels good, looks good but I feel it could easily work it’s way off and get lost so for the price I wouldn’t rush to replace it. I’ve got it on my X-E3 which is a small camera so have a small camera bag to put it in and the soft release button catches on the bag when putting it in and taking it out- hardly a life altering moment I know but something to consider. I think for the price two should have come with it.

Bought this to go on my old canon A1.Fitted and functioned perfectly.The only problem was how it felt, not the button itself but where it positioned your finger on the shutter button (slightly higher). I was so used to how the camera felt in my hand and where my fingers fell on the controls that the slight change on the shutter button just felt weird! The button is well made and looks great but it just wasn't the right thing for me so I haven't used it..🙁

The release button is perfect for my black X100VI.

I have a Fujifilm XT2, with this fitted I have a problem that when I use the shutter speed dial I hit this and it turns off the camera. When this is fitted to the shutter release it wobbles. It is not the fault of this product, but by extending the shutter release dial it creates leverage and it worries me, so I took this off the camera and put it back in it's packet. I prefer the camera without it. My XT2 was second hand, so the fault might be with my camera.

This release button is just a simple little item which is screwed onto the top of the existing button, making it just a bit easier to find it and control the first (focussing) and second (shutter release) pressure.

I got this product a few weeks ago as a birthday present for my new Fujifilm x100v camera as I liked the idea of having a more physical shutter release button. I read the description and followed the instructions regarding the rubber ring how it is meant to make the grip tighter on the camera, I came to realise that this is clearly not the case as I soon found out that this made the button loose and fell of resulting in me losing the button altogether.I’m not happy that this product is advertised with the instructions that the rubber ring makes the button have a tighter grip as I followed this and now have no button at all only a week or so after actually using the button itself, won’t be buying this product again and not happy with the response I have had from customer service regarding this issue, normally I’m a big fan of JJC products but this one just puts me off them for reliability now

So it works. It's a button. It was £10.Got this for my XT-2, it appears to be well made, but it's a button. Be aware that even tightly screwed it, when turning the camera on & off it can work its way loose.It does add extra comfort to the camera which is nice but it just seems silly money for a button.

Easy to fit and gives the camera a more professional feel. Shutter action is more positive. Whilst it is only a simple item it does it's job.
