Brilliant for a sand pit toy
No sandpit should be without one of these Build Your Own Castle sets. I am really impressed with the quality and build of of all the parts . The ability to build your own bricks using the brick press is an excellent idea and will provide hours of fun and variations as to what can be built.

Great idea but limited
I ordered this for my nephew to play with, but really it was my husband and I that ended up using it. The set includes everything you need: kinnect sand, a castle base, turrets, tools and a press to make curved bricks. It is very fiddly and definitely would only be appropriate for a very focused three year old child genius. Even at 8 my nephew didn't quite have the patience for this set. My husband who enjoys building lego went off and built his own masterpieces. The set only supports you to build the one castle on the base. If you want to expand your sand empire you will need to use creativity. Although all your endeavours will have curved bricks. At £20 (currently on offer) I would say it's worth the money. But might be a short lived gift depending on the child.

Play,fun,learning set
Time of review this house set is £25.99, the kit its self as in house roof, windows etc, is kinda small however really well made, excellent quality! The windows and doors even open!😂Feel a bit cheating as they painted 'blocks' on the roof, so you only need to lay a flat edge for roof to sit on lol...Gave this to my 9yo son, who loves construction stuff, this was a BIG hit!Altho i admit, i kinda got into it a bit myself🤣And the hubby!!🤣But its great for stem learning, home education, playing etc...Alot of hand eye motor function skill learning.Comes with all the tools that are needed, i gotta say, the tool to make the bricks, is such an awesome idea!!And then the sand bricks once made, like a certain type of wel known brick toys..actually connect/fit together really well! The sand stuff, aint your usual sand or play sand.. i dunno if its like other sand 'play' kits, that you can squish together... but this stuff squishes so well, and feels quite firm, holding its shape well, and weirdly so easy to just smush it up again! Was worried that the sand pack it comes with might not be enough, however we made the house, and we still had LOADS left over! The ONLY down side of this set that i can think of, is that there is no storage case to keep all the bits and pieces together when not playing with🙄.. and although its easy to put it all back in the cardboard box it came in, it just aint safe enough when you have much younger kids crawling around...Apart from that, i LOVE this play set and my son REALLY loves it!

Fun to play with!
This is a really interesting toy I had not seen anything like it before. You use the sensory sand to create these little bricks and make the little castle out of them - really fun! Although its for kids I did find myself doing it with my son and having fun too!. The little tools are sturdy and the brick stamper can withstand a lot of whacking form a 4 year old! Brilliant for rainy days though of course as with anything sand related try to do it on some newspaper or similar as it gets everywhere.

lovely molds!
I recently bought the play sand set for my kids, and it has been a fantastic addition to our playtime! The moldable sensory sand is easy to work with and provides hours of creative fun. The set comes with building molds, a brick press, and tools that allow my little ones to construct their own castles and structures. It’s an incredible way to encourage imaginative play and develop fine motor skills. Perfect for kids aged 3 and up, this is a great birthday gift for both boys and girls!

Great for sensory needs....
I have a autistic son and i always struggle to keep him occupied but since getting this out to play with him his concentration span as definitely improved. This is so good for his sensory needs and he will actually play by himself with this too.The sand is really easy to mould and keep its shape and it doesnt have a sticky texture to it either. He loves making alsorts, breaking it apart and building something else.Hours of fun to be had with this set and would make a great gift too.I highly recommend.

A bit limited
If you’re aware of magic sand, you’ll be familiar with the sand included in this kit. Essentially, the idea is you use the mould to press out sand building bricks, which you then assemble per the instructions to create a model house. Unfortunately the instructions aren’t quite clear enough as to how much to fill the mould with, as you have to take into account that the press displaces an amount of sand and part of it moves causing each brick to be of slightly varying thicknesses. After a while moulding the bricks becomes an onerous tasks and I and my son only finished the house to do the review. We ran into a snag when putting the house together as the supplied windows were exactly three bricks thick, while the door was around five and a half, meaning we needed to be a bit creative in getting things to fit. There isn’t a great deal of scope to be creative, as the parts supplied only go to make the one model; it’s not possible to make a larger or smaller house as both the base plate and roof are moulded to on set of dimensions. The box says 3+, but I would absolutely not give this to my nephews, as the level of manual dexterity and patience required is more like 12+.I found most of the tools supplied superfluous, as you only really need the trowel and your fingers.
