The media could not be loaded. This works for vehicles that already support wired Android Auto (AA) or Apple Carplay connection and makes it wireless. When using wired AA, your phone automatically pairs to the vehicle via Bluetooth (BT) and will communicate to the car via BT or USB, depending on the function. This device replaces the wired USB connection by broadcasting a WiFi signal which your phone connects to, which is subsequently followed by automatic Bluetooth pairing, as well. (As an aside, just as how you can use wired AA to pair a new phone to the car's Bluetooth while in motion, this will work for that purpose, as well.)And after that, it just works. After setup, which took maybe 30 seconds, it now takes fewer than ten seconds from starting the vehicle for both the wireless AA dongle to initialize and for the phone to automatically connect to it and the vehicle. For comparison, a wired connection would already take more than five seconds to initialize and pair. I'm pretty sensitive to small Quality of Life details where seconds matter, and I was surprised that the extra few seconds don't seem to make an impact for my use or enjoyment. Furthermore, when my phone connects automatically via Bluetooth after turning the vehicle on, it automatically connects to the wireless AA dongle, as well, even if it was connected to my home network. Simple.Arguably more importantly, the device advertises itself as low latency, and it delivers on that front, as well. No, updates like routing to a new address or picking a new song aren't completely instantaneous, but they do update in only a fraction of a second. Again, small QoL details like this matter to me, and (especially after seeing other wireless AA devices) this one impresses me. I find I'm unbothered by the miniscule delay.Steering wheel functions work, something I really wasn't expecting the device to succeed at. Using this, it finally feels like wireless AA was a native part of the vehicle. Exactly what I wanted.It turns off and ceases broadcasting the signal around fifteen seconds after the vehicle is turned off. Not sure what the latent parasitic power draw is (if any) but it shouldn't be significant, so this should be safe to leave plugged in for a vehicle that isn't used all the time without draining the battery.At the time of writing, this device has been on the Amazon marketplace for under a month and has nothing but five star reviews, and I can see why. Very satisfied with my purchase!

I bought the adapter so I didn’t have to keep unplugging and plugging my iPhone into the CarPlay port. It was compatible with my Mazda 3 2015 Apple car play retrofit.The connection speed was fast and setup took me just a few minutes. It comes with an adapter USB A to USB C which was a nice bonus but not really needed for my car.The only quirk is that you need to turn off WiFi when you enter the car.Functionality is just the same as the wired CarPlay without the cable.It’s also very small and for my car means I can keep the center console compartment closed when driving.

Worked great for about 2 months. Then it would not pick up and GPS. All the android functions were there, but on the map, the car would sit in 1 spot and not move. I have tried to reach out for support but nothing back. I cant find any online support either.

This adapter is great and exceeded my expectations. Now I can connect to CarPlay with a single touch. No cords, quick setup. Highly recommend!

Hello friends, I just bought this CarPlay adapter for my car and it didn't work for me since I needed my car to have a screen compatible with CarPlay and mine wasn't so it didn't work for me. I tried it in my wife's car that it is compatible with CarPlay and if it worked super well and fast, it is an excellent comfort since you do not have to be connecting the phone to the USB every time you enter or leave the car, just by turning on the car it already connects automatically and it is very comfortable and the connection is super good. I recommend it 100%

I have been using android auto and apple carplay for over 2-3 years with my car. My car doesn't support wireless android auto/carplay. I had seen a similar device on a tik tok a few months back and I was looking for something which can be plugged in directly in the USB port. This device is exactly that.It comes with this small dongle, a USB-C adapter and a small USB A-C connector. The setup is quite easy, it would be better to read the instructions first. Once the setup is done, then it connects the phone within 15-20 seconds after starting the car. No more attaching the phone to the wire.I used this device extensively over past 4 days on the family trip to NM and Texas pan handle. I never faced any trouble with google map or streaming music over android auto. It worked fine over 6-8 hours of driving almost every day.
