Update: I had to return my 2nd order because it wouldn't record. I know it wasn't anything I was doing wrong because I knew how to operate it from my previous purchase. I do believe it was sent to me used because of the condition it was in.I purchased my first one April 2023, and i had to reorder another one bc my battery blew up last week. I left it plugged in, while it's recording and it worked since April 2023. I hope this one last longer but if not it's worth it.

I purchased this camera less than 2 months ago and it is already having an issue recording video. The camera turns on and you can start recording video, but when you play the video back, it only displays a solid pink screen for the duration of the recording. It will take still pictures with no issue. I have tried several different micro SD cards, I tried formatting with my computer and allowing the camera to format SD card but the issue remains. I have only used it 3 times and handled it with care during the times it was in use and it was never dropped, exposed to extreme temperatures, or moisture. I am unsure as to why it stopped working so abruptly, the device seems to be well made but I guess looks are deceiving.

This little camera works well. Even in low light. Its small and easy to hide. There are small lights that don’t really show. I found that the battery is small so I have to use the cord to keep it plugged in if I am going to be using it for more than a day. Mine has audio too and the sound is very good. I got a 128gb card and it can record over 500 videos. The instructions are not easy to follow. There are only 2 small buttons that controls all the functions. Its a lot of pressing buttons to get the camera to do what you want. And its not intuitive so I have to refer to the manual all the time. I have to set it up each time I use it. If they made the camera save to your settings so you don’t have to set it each time, that would be better.UPDATE: 9 months later, the camera battery no longer stays charged. I have to have it on the cord constantly in order to use it. Plus, mine acts strange every so often, so I have to keep factory resetting it. Its really on its last leg. While I put up with the problems in the beginning, I'm already looking for a different camera now. It was an inexpensive gadget, but you get what you pay for. Changed from 3 stars to 2 stars.

This is a very fun and inexpensive camera ! Got it to see what the cats are doing by the window watching all the critters outside. Really nice and powerful magnetic mount included. They thought of everything with all the accessories.When I received it, I had a lot of issues and the operation did not match the instructions. I sent a note to tech support, and they quickly responded that the memory card I had was to large (64G). Once I put in a smaller one, it worked great !May with this as a dash camera later. It is very small, so lots of options.Be sure to use a card no bigger than 32G.

The media could not be loaded. Camera is sturdy and small, as you'd expect from something labeled "spy camera"; though I wouldn't label it as such. It is blatantly a camera, but works well for a nanny cam you can hide somewhere like between a couple of books, or in a dark corner. Body made of what feels like anodized aluminum, machined around the edges to prevent sharp corners. Two buttons on top, Power and Setting, Bottom has a Micro USB and Micro SD card slot, supporting from 8 to 32 GB, I used a Class 10 Micro SD HC 32 GB SanDisk Ultra Micro USB card. The card slot on the camera leaves a little more to be desired; it has been cut precisely for the card size, but each time I insert the card, I feel that it is scraping away at the plastic on the card. Maybe if the card slot was a little more rounded like the edges of the camera... same with the Micro USB slot.The camera is not exactly intuitive. You must read the manual first before operating the camera, as there are multiple modes and only two buttons. Once the manual is read, you can run the different settings. The IR on the camera is decent, with a range of about 10 or so feet, not exactly for a larger room, but a bedroom should be just fine.The motion sensor is okay, as long as the object moving is within the sensor's range (about 10-15 feet). It seems as though light change (going from dark to light, or light to dark) also triggers the camera's motion sensor, which is common among motion cameras.This camera is labeled "1080p". This does not equal quality. 1080p just means it is displayed at 1920x1080 pixels. This can be an "upscaled" version of a 720, 480, or even 360 (or less)... this seems to have a video quality of about 480p upscaled to 1080p. This is okay if you're not trying to grab minute details about something happening. Picture quality is about the same as the video quality.Videos run about 32KB/12 seconds, which equals about 145 days of 24/7 recording, which also tells me the video is just upscaled, which isn't bad for the application, just not great overall.All-in-all, for a small camera, this is pretty decent. I like the compact size of the camera, and the "spy" getup they have on here, where no lights indicates the camera is either powered-off or recording. For ~$35, this isn't a bad buy. If you want to get a nanny cam, or something for a room in your house that you're not always in, this could be good. The biggest downside is that it records to the card, and when the USB is plugged it, it doesn't do anything but charge... it won't turn on or record. That would be why it's mainly a nanny cam... you set it up and when you are done, take it down.Maybe a good thing to use when ghost hunting? hmmm...

Package arrived on time and in good shape. Upon original charge, unit became warm, as explained in instructions was normal. Speaking of instructions, not very easy to follow, usual interpretation mistakes by Chinese . Tried dozens of times to set camera in motion detection mode, never worked. It would record on the first set, then never detect any motion and record again. When set to just record, the picture quality was OK, good range on the field of view, focus seemed to adjusted as you moved it around when you hand held it.Contacted the company, that sent it, about the problems. I told them that the camera cube was getting HOTTER every time I charge it. More than just warm. Told them about the motion detection problem. They replied that the heat was normal, and gave me the same instruction on how to set it for motion detection. They than said I could send it back for repair. All three suggestions were not acceptable to me. Might try another one.
