Great tablet when using windows 10
Love this tablet, charges quickly, great performance, and long battery life. It is a few generations old, and I backdated it to windows 10 which is smoother for me, but if you're in the market for a windows tablet, this is a great option.

Good Product
It was as described and works great. Getting used to as this is my first tablet, but it performs well and no complaints.

Ordered 2: 1 Works Great! 1 Not So Good with Bad Touch Screen.
Ordered 2.1 was perfect. Nice big screen, Charged Fast and Reliably. Overall a great value for the cost.Unfortunately, the second one was not so perfect. I have sent work to the vendor and hope to hear back. I I don't, I will certainly post the disposition of the issue on here and adjust the review score accordingly. Here is the issue: The touch screen was hit and miss. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, updated all the windows patches, recalibrated, cleaned the screen real good, etc., and nothing. I plugged a mouse in and the cursor was jumpy. Disabled the touch screen driver and it worked perfectly with just the mouse. So having had surfaces and touch screens on most of my computers, I know when a touch screen is broken. This one is broken., the other has a touch screen that will not work.

Locked out and NOT factory reset
The media could not be loaded. The tablet is pretty beat up and not "like new from arms length distance". It has permanent damage to the touch screen when it looks like something hit it or someone pressed way too hard. And of course, even if the other stuff didn't bother me, it's locked out bc it wasn't properly, factory reset. I'd have to purchase a keyboard to try to reset it. Total waste of my time and money. I'm surprised it even arrived, it was shipped from Louisville to Syracuse, NJ and back twice before it arrived to me locally in Louisville. I needed this for gigging guitar through digital plugins but this was a total bust. Will have to go local at BEST BUY and spend an extra $200 to get a brand new surface pro x. This is the SECOND windows tablet from AMAZON that was total JUNK. Save yourself the hassle, buy new and local.

Check Your Power Cable's Wattage!
I purchased the Surface Pro 5 (2017) refurbished, the seller was Primetek Solutions. They originally lost my package, or put it in the wrong order Group. Which they quickly remedied, and it still arrived within the time originally estimated on Amazon. However I did have to contact them in order for them to know that they had done so. Otherwise I imagine my package would still be sitting as just a FedEx label. The Surface itself was in great shape, other then a small crack in the upright corner, however it's on the frame section of the glass and doesn't appear to be a deep crack.Everything is functional and it appears to be factory reset before receiving.I received a power cable, which appears to be some sort of off brand charger for it, which is fine (however this is an issue see below for more details). However, after plugging in my Surface cover (purchased separately), I noticed almost instantly that the touch pad would have intermittent disconnect issues, while the keyboard continued working during these issues. After looking into this issue further I discovered that the Surface Pro 5 (2017) model takes a 44w charger, and the replacement off brand one I was given is a 65w charger. I also found out that running the Surface Pro 5 on a higher voltage will cause short out issues, and battery issues such as overcharging aka killing the battery. So to anybody experiencing battery issues better check your power supply make sure it's 44w, otherwise you might have problems such as the battery exploding or the charger itself catching on fire.Luckily I was able to find a Walmart online that sold original OEM Surface 44w charger. So I've ordered one of those to replace this cord before it does too much damage to the battery or the Surface itself.

As advertised
An excellent tablet, I thought working with Windows 10 and a touch screen would be a challenge. This unit is smooth and very receptive to the touch. The price is excellent in my opinion, and I would recommend it for a purchase.

not worth - as a college student
it does the job but i regret buying it. it’s good for taking notes by hand if you buy the pen, but the way to prop up the screen is so annoying on soft surfaces like a bed. or small surfaces like a tiny university half desk. impossible. touch screen is nice, but face ID for signing into anything is a pain. i dropped my backpack too hard one time and it dented the corner so bad the headphone jack is now unusable. it is so fragile it genuinely is terrifying to drop it even a foot above the ground. it’s also so annoying having to charge the keyboard separately. way too many times when i walked into class and the keyboard randomly died with barely any warning and i had to use tablet mode.yeah tablet mode is not good i cant lie, really weird to use. wish i just got an ipad with a keyboard and apple pen instead. even though i HATE apple
