It works like an OEM charger, it allows you to charge and go file transfer mode via USB into the computer. Simply long enough and it connects just fine like the OEM ones.

Picked up a used iPad for dirt cheap but I guess everything switched over to the lightning or USB-Type C connector. Well I just need something to charge up the iPad and wipe the data on it. This cable is braided and feels very durable. I'm surprised how cheap it is (price wise) and how well it's made. The cable got delivered quickly and plug it in to the iPad and right away it started charging the tablet. The cable works really good and I tested it out by plugging into my PC Windows machine and right away the computer see the device. I was able to pull the data and any existing photos on the tablet with no issues to connectivity or getting any error messages. The cord length is perfect and everything works as described.

I bought this to use for my old iPod nano. It works great and is good quality for the price. The downside is that the cord isn’t all that long although if your just tossing your iPod on a charger and leaving it, it’s not a big deal.

My wife and I decided to fire up our old iPods to try them out. We have fell in love with them again, however none of our current laptops have USB-A to sync music to them. I initially purchased this cable to charge and sync out iPods and it worked well. I have now ordered some shorter cables for syncing, and this being a longer cord, it is now relegated to being left plugged into a charger by the couch for charging them up as needed, and I expect it will continue to work well.
