Silflex - Silicone Contact Layer Dressing 8cm x 10cm (x10)

Expensive but required

This Silflex is used to heal my wounds. When I opened the box someone had cut a small thin strip out of the big square and placed it resealed back in the box. I've never seen this before. Usually the box and contents have been fine. No complaints. I use Silflex a lot to heal my wounds But this time, I was shocked and angry. Silflex costs a lot of money for 10 squares. I feel ripped off by the company. They should be ashamed. I would ask for my money back but what's the point? They won't refund me now that the box is open. The product itself is excellent, it works, heals wounds quickly. But to receive a faulty product that was clearly tampered with left me very upset and feeling ripped off by Silflex. I hope Amazon are disappointed that one of their loyal customers can be treated so badly by a medical company, and think they can get away with it. Silflex itself is a good product. It really works well. But the company who sell it simply can't be trusted now.

A nurse highly recommended this dressing not always readily available at a doctors practice as it’s gentle and soft to remove causing less pain. It is expensive if you can afford it but if it’s someone you care for you want the best. I use it best wash the wound with sodium , cream it with an emollient , nurse recommended cetraben or Epimax before applying bandage . Silflex one of the better dressings out there !

Quicker than waiting for a nhs prescription

Diabetic wounds require any help they need - this part of the dressing has to be re-used at this cost if a wound needs re-dressing 4 or 5 times a day. Getting appointments is another issue. Instructions for sterilising are not included. If these issues were solved then 5 stars are possible
