I love light- transition readers. I this was an excellent price. Excellent quality & worked well. does not get overly dark, but just enough to stop the glare.

These glasses are nice looking, and they're lightweight, too. They are very comfortable to wear for long periods because of the weight, and because the spring hinges allow them to fit snugly enough without squeezing the head.That said, I'm disappointed that the progressive lenses distort my vision at distances. Also, the transition ftom clear to dark is, more accurately, a transition from clear to somewhat shaded. They do not adequately protect against the intense sun outdoors.I haven't had these long enough to assess their durability, but they feel pretty insubstantial, so I'm not sure how well they will hold up over time.Overall, these are okay - inexpensive and good for reading and close work. They won't be the only pair of glasses I use because they don't darken enough in the sun, and because of the distortion of the distant view. They're good enough, though, to make them worth having!Addendum - After thinking about these - and trying them out more - I've decided to return them. The photochromic lenses just don't do enough to cut the sun, and I bought these for that purpose. It's kind of silly to keep them if they're not working as I need them to, hmm?!

I'm really pleased with them. They dim enough to get the glare out of my eyes, not too dark and change quickly, I like to use them when working outside in the garden and I frequently go back and forth between the house, shed, and garage. The lens is a pretty good quality and I keep them in the hard case to make sure I don't scrape them up. I like the style and the color, it's just a little loose on my head and there's no way to tighten them. I would buy them again, the price is reasonable.
