Not a big fan off off brands and typically stay away from them. However, I have a few employees that lack some basic tool etiquette, though they are great employees otherwise. So I decided to purchase this tool for cutting wire rope/ cable up to 5/8". The tool comes in a case that doesn't quite fit it but the tool works incredibly well. I immediately cut some 5/8 cable and was pleasantly surprised how comparable it worked next to my $1200 cutter. It's been on several jobs already and has cut its fair share of wire rope. Definitely a good buy and will purchase again as soon as one of these guys drop it down the elevator hatch several floors and break it.

These dont work quite as clean through as the $900 alternative but so far ive been able to cut 3/8 and 1/2 Elevator wire rope without an issue. Worst thats happened so far is maybe the old rope is still holding on by a thread which given the price difference is completely OK by me.

Cut 1 piece of 3/8 EHS cable and it ruined the blade.

Works great

Have made about 60 cuts on 3/8" swaged wire rope and it is still cutting clean. Pretty easy to operate, and a good buy at the price under $300

These are amazing and well worth the money

Super easy to use, makes clean splices in wire rope, no frayed edges. Very solid piece of equipment, well worth the money.

Worked great, hinged jaw made fast work of the project we bought it for.
