Major Adverse Reaction!
Let me start by saying that I actually DO like the flavor, and I like how fresh my mouth felt after I used this. When I brushed, I had no sensitivity on teeth where my “over-brushed” gums are receding, so I really was liking this tooth paste... Then, one day I woke up with several unexplainable canker sores, all on the right side of my mouth. I thought it was really strange but assumed I must be allergic to some kind of food I had eaten. The next day, I ate completely different foods and had all new canker sores appear, still on the right side of my mouth. This continued for several days and soon my entire mouth was filled with sores. I searched the internet for possible causes and read something about certain toothpastes causing these horrible sores - this was one of them! It had also mentioned sloughing of the skin on the cheeks, which is something else I had noticed almost immediately when I started using sensodyne. After using it only a couple weeks, I instantly discontinued using it and no new sores appeared. I know I had an allergic reaction- odd, because I am allergic to almost nothing- but I read this is fairly common with this toothpaste, so if you notice some random canker sores appearing, I would seriously consider this possibility and discontinue use immediately!
