A great little steam powerhouse.
Let me make one thing clear. After spending 10.5 years in the navy, I hate doing floors, and I especially hate mopping, or "swabbing the deck".That is why I've always looked for ways to minimize how much floor maintenance I have to do. I have spent way too much money on robot vacuums and mops to minimize my participation in floor maintenance. But let's be clear. Even the most expensive robot can't replace a good ole stick mop.Having tried sponge mops, string mops and even Swiffers, I found that all of them had big drawbacks. So it was with more than a little hesitation that I tried this steam mop from Shark. And to be fair, I picked it primarily due to it's price. It was one of the least expensive out there and had great reviews. And the idea of never having to buy disposable mop heads or specialized cleaner was pretty compelling. Not only that, a steam mop leaves no sticky residue, so it is truly requires no rinsing. What I didn't expect is how well this thing mops, and how easy it is to do so. The mopping action helps distribute the steam to the pad. The water container is easy to fill and attach, and the mop heads are secured via Velcro. It really is very easy to use. And effective. A couple of swipes with steam over the most stubborn stains and the stain is gone. This easily gets to the corners that my robot misses, and the reusable heads are easy to put in the washer and dryer. The extra long cord means you can cover quite a large area without having to unplug and plug in. And the lack of any type of rechargeable battery means you don't have to worry about replacing said battery after awhile.Sometimes simplicity wins the day, and as long as the heating element is good, there's not a lot of things on this mop that can fail. And even if it does, the replacement cost isn't that great. Are there other steam mops that are better, or have more attachments? Certainly. But for this price point you get an outstanding mop that is easy to fill, easy to operate and easy to maintain. And while my robo vacuum and mop gets most of the floor during a scheduled weekly mopping, my steam mop is easy to step in where the robot misses, or just easier to take out and deploy for an occasional quick cleanup.

Absolutely love my Shark steam mop!
The Shark Steam Mop truly deserves the praise. I’ve used several floor-cleaning tools over the years, but nothing compares to the ease and effectiveness of this mop. It’s lightweight, heats up quickly, and is super easy to maneuver — even into tight corners and under furniture. What really impressed me was how well it cleaned without any harmful chemicals. Just using tap water, it lifted grime, sticky spots, and footprints off my tile and laminate floors effortlessly. The microfiber pads are machine washable and surprisingly durable — I’ve washed mine multiple times and they still hold up great. One of my favorite features is how fast it dries. I can clean my floors and walk on them within minutes without any streaks or residue. It’s ideal for households with kids or pets (or both, like mine) where spills and messes are a daily thing. If you're looking for a safe, eco-friendly, and efficient way to clean hard floors, I can't recommend the Shark Steam Mop enough. It's made my cleaning routine faster and more satisfying — and that’s saying something!

User friendly but...
Excellent, user-friendly steam mop. My only complaint is that Shark dropped the ball by not creating a way for it to stand up. I have a large open living area, and when I'm cleaning and need to unplug to go to another outlet, I have to take the mop with me to lean it against the wall. Even with that, it still doesn't always stay up, and I am always worried it will scrape the wall. It's also inconvenient for storing the mop.My other complaint is that there is no on/off button! To turn the mop off, you have to unplug it, which is inconvenient. I typically have to walk on the floors I just cleaned when they are still damp, to unplug the mop to turn it off. A big oversight! I'm learning to be more strategic about the process so I don't have to walk on damp, clean floors, but seriously, what an error in design. Now, aside from that, I love this mop. It heats up quickly, and it's easy to add more water using the provided container. I find the cord length suitable for my home, but I have a lot of outlets. If you don't have many outlets, the cord length might be too short. My favorite feature is the reversible, detachable mop heads! So handy when they are all used up and filled with dirt, and believe me, they will be dirty because this mop works so well! I also love the fact that I don't need to buy a separate floor cleaner. Just let the water heat up, and you won't be disappointed! I highly recommend this steam mop if the two things I mentioned aren't an issue for you. I've adjusted, but if Shark creates another mop that stands up and has an on/off button, I'd buy another one without hesitation!Don't forget to buy additional mop heads! You may go through a couple when cleaning because they get dirty fast, and I don't have kids or pets!Happy Cleaning!

Get it
This is the best steam mop for the price. For my first one ever, I’m impressed. I have no carpet and it lifts dirt everywhere including the heavy trafficked areas. I wish the water capacity was bigger, but it’s fine I get more steps in.
