Burpee Thornless Blackberry Prime-Ark® 'Freedom' shipped as FIVE BARE ROOT PLANTS

Planted within a couple of days due to cool snap but put into water immediately upon receipt. The plants now have nice sized leaves and seem to be growing well.

I'm about to place my 3rd order of these berries. We're building a blackberry forrest next to our vineyard. They arrived in great shape and transplanted well. We have them in the house currently as the grounds are getting prepped and anti-gopher baskets get built. We're hopeful for a fruitful yield from these guys. So far so good

3 are growing well! Looked rough when they arrived, and not all made it. The ones that did are doing spectacularly though... Can't wait for berries in a few years.

Just had my first harvest. They are beautiful and big berries. It’s a little sour but I believed the next season will be exactly as advertised! Buy it, it’s easy to grow too!Update 7/29/19I found out harvesting when they are properly ripened, they are much sweeter especially refrigerating them first!3 out of 5 plants grew healthy and bore delicious fruits. The other 2 didn’t survive our recent move to the city! Yes, I live in the city aside from being a desert city in California! I can’t wait for the next season especially once I transfer them to the ground(they are potted right now). Now, if I can only ask Burpee to replace those 2 plants that didn’t survive the move, I’ll be a happy customer!

I bought Blackberry plants from Burpee a week or so ago and received plants that were very robust and ready to go in the ground. Total extended height of plants were about 10". They were very healthy and came in an appropriate sized box. The plants I received yesterday are close to dead, leaves are withered and falling off, and they were crammed in a small box. Beyond that, they were about half the height. Even at the lesser height, the box was still too small. Disappointing that the reason I bought again these premium priced plants ('Premium' priced when compared to the Amazon market place) was because of how beautiful and lively the original plants were. Instead, while the delivery was timely, the product was the opposite of my initial experience. Yes, I could have the hassle of sending them back, but I'm out in the sticks and my local post office is closed.

The product is advertised as “bare root” but is actually a green plant the size of a toothpick.Bare root blackberry plants are dormant cuttings about the diameter of a pencil with a cluster of roots and no soil needed in packaging. What I received was 5 plugs of moist soil the size of an ice cube containing thin, white hair roots with about 3 green leaves growing from a stem the size of a tooth pick.

These were amazing. These arrived looking dead but now after a few weeks, all of them are growing very strongly with lots of leaves. I recommend highly. However, i don't know whether i will get any fruits this year.

Good plants, seller was a little difficult to deal with (plants arrived late, and the plants where live cuttings and not bare root)Seller compensated but it took some work.I wouldn’t buy from Darren again.
